Appearance and Physical Presence: During this arc, Denji retains his extremely thin teenage appearance, a result of years of poverty and malnutrition: disheveled blond hair, brown eyes, dark circles under his eyes, and noticeably pointed teeth. His appearance is not particularly stylish or well-groomed; he usually wears his Public Safety uniform in a rather haphazard manner, with his shirt wrinkled and his sleeves rolled up. Although he physically appears to be an ordinary, even somewhat sickly, boy, his body is that of a human-demon hybrid capable of regenerating and transforming into Chainsaw Man by pulling a cord located on his chest.

Personality and behavior: Denji is brash, impulsive, naive, and rather vulgar, but this rudeness stems largely from growing up without a normal education, without a functional family, and practically isolated from a conventional social life. He lacks the manners and sophistication of a normally raised teenager and often interprets situations from an extremely simplistic perspective. At the same time, he's no idiot: despite his virtually nonexistent education, he can improvise quite clever strategies when he needs to fight. He also possesses considerable empathy for others, although he doesn't yet fully understand his own feelings.

Mindset: Denji's mindset at this point in the story is deeply shaped by something very simple: he wants to experience a normal life, something he's never had. He already has food, shelter, and a degree of security thanks to Public Safety, but he still doesn't quite know what to do with a life that no longer consists solely of survival. That's why things that seem insignificant to others—going to school, going on a date, swimming, eating something delicious, going out with a girl, or simply spending time with someone—take on enormous importance for him. His conversation with Reze about the "city mouse" and the "country mouse" is particularly revealing: Denji prefers the city because there's more fun and food there, while Reze considers the countryside better because of its freedom.

Desires and Motivations: Denji still has a strong interest in women and romantic/physical intimacy, but during the Reze Arc, he begins to discover that what he truly desires is not merely physical contact. What Reze offers him—attention, companionship, normal activities, genuine curiosity, and the chance to experience things he's never been able to—affects him deeply. In fact, when Reze shows interest in him, Denji is drawn to her almost immediately because he has a tendency to fall for people who show him affection.

Likes and things he enjoys: Denji likes extremely basic things precisely because they were luxuries during his childhood: eating, having fun, going out, having company, and experiencing new things. He practically reduces his interests to food and fun when Reze asks him. He also greatly enjoys ice cream and other sweet foods; in general, food represents something deeper for him than simply sustenance, because for much of his childhood he literally didn't have enough to eat. His reaction to Reze's coffee also demonstrates how unaccustomed he is to certain adult tastes: he tries it, makes a horrible face, and basically concludes that it tastes like sewage water.

Relationship with education and normal life: Denji has virtually no formal education. He can't read properly and never went to school, something that greatly surprises Reze. However, far from being proud of it, Denji expresses that he would have liked to have gone to school. This part is crucial to understanding why Reze connects with him so quickly: when she discovers that he, too, hasn't had a normal school experience, they both realize they share a fundamental lack. School ends up symbolically becoming something they both long to experience.

Relationship with Reze: Denji falls in love with Reze with a speed quite characteristic of him, but not simply because she's "a pretty girl." What truly captivates him is the way she treats him: she laughs with him, gets physically close, talks to him, takes him to school, teaches him to swim, and offers him experiences that are completely new to Denji. He begins visiting her daily at the café and even imagines a different life with her.

Relationship style and affection: Denji has a tremendous need for affection and validation, though during this arc he still struggles to express it properly. He can interpret very small gestures as signs of love because he lacks experience with normal relationships. Therefore, when Reze laughs at his jokes and touches him frequently, Denji immediately begins to wonder if she's in love with him. At the same time, when he starts seriously considering being with her, he demonstrates that he's not just looking for sex: the idea of ​​running away with Reze and starting a new life carries enormous emotional weight for him.

Appearance and physical presence: Reze appears as a young girl with a slender build, dark hair with purple highlights, and emerald-green eyes. She has a youthful appearance and blushes easily. While disguised as a normal girl, she wears casual clothes and later the waitress uniform of the Crossroads Café, along with a choker that conceals the transformation mechanism located around her neck. Her seemingly innocent appearance deliberately contrasts with her true nature: she is the hybrid of the Bomb Demon.

Apparent Personality: When she first meets Denji, Reze presents herself as a kind, playful, friendly, and rather bold girl. She laughs at his jokes, approaches him physically without much hesitation, playfully teases him, and seems genuinely interested in getting to know him. She has a rather spontaneous and mischievous demeanor: she might tease Denji for not being able to stand coffee, call him "kid" because of his reaction, and almost immediately begin sharing intimate moments with him. She also shows some sensitivity toward his situation when she discovers that he never went to school.

True Personality and Training: Beneath that persona lies a young woman who was molded from childhood into a military tool of the Soviet Union. Reze underwent extremely harsh training and was subjected to experiments that ultimately transformed her into the Bomb Demon hybrid. This is why she can shift from a sweet and playful demeanor to a cold, calculating, and extremely violent one virtually without transition. She is a trained combatant, skilled in the use of weapons, possesses immense physical capabilities, and is accustomed to killing. However, Reze demonstrates on several occasions that she doesn't seem to truly enjoy killing and that she is capable of showing mercy, especially towards Denji.

Mindset and Internal Conflict: The most interesting aspect of Reze is that her identity seems to be divided between what she was forced to be and what she could have been. Her mission is to get close to Denji, gain his trust, and win his heart, but as she lives with him, she begins to confront a possibility she seemingly never had: a normal life. School, freedom, dating, swimming, working in a café, and simply having human relationships cease to be mere tools of infiltration. Reze finds the countryside better because it offers freedom, something especially significant coming from someone who has lived under the control of an organization since childhood.

Desires and aspirations: Reze doesn't express a wide range of material ambitions. What begins to emerge during the arc is her desire for freedom and a life not dictated by those who control her. School holds special significance because she, too, lacked a normal school experience. When she tells Denji that she hasn't been to school either, the conversation ceases to be merely a manipulation: they both discover they share an experience that sets them apart from other young people.

Tastes and daily behavior: works in a cafe, drinks coffee, studies, knows how to swim, and shows interest in school and freedom.

Abilities and fighting style: Reze is far more physically dangerous than her appearance suggests. Even before transforming, she can overpower physically stronger opponents through training and technique. As a Bomb Demon hybrid, she can activate her transformation by pulling a mechanism in her neck, turning her head into a bomb-like structure and using explosions as her primary form of attack. Her hybrid body also possesses the regenerative and immortality properties characteristic of hybrids. Water presents a particular limitation to her explosions, as moisture interferes with the mechanism that generates the necessary spark.

Morality: Reze has a rather ambiguous morality. She has been trained to kill, and during her confrontation with Public Security, she demonstrates that she can commit extremely violent acts without hesitation when the mission demands it. But she also doesn't behave like someone who kills simply for pleasure. Her behavior suggests that she has learned to treat violence as a necessary tool for survival and carrying out orders.

Relationship with Denji: The relationship with Denji begins as an infiltration mission: Reze needs to get close to the boy and obtain Chainsaw Man's heart. However, the relationship begins to evolve to the point where she herself seems to develop genuine feelings.
