CHILDHOOD
CHILDHOOD; Jason grew up in Gotham under difficult conditions.
In the story that established the character's most well-known origin, Bruce found him trying to steal the wheels off the Batmobile.
Jason was a street kid and survived by petty theft.
Bruce initially saw him as a boy who needed help and ended up making him his protégé.
DC uses this encounter—Jason trying to steal the tires from the Batmobile—as one of the central pieces of its story.
ROBIN

Jason took the place that Dick Grayson had left.
As Robin, he received training directly from Batman.
However, Jason had a much more aggressive and impulsive personality than Dick.

Jason believes that Bruce should have done more after his death.

DEATH
CAUSE OF DEATH; Killed by the Joker.
The Joker kidnapped Jason, tortured him, and finally caused his death by means of an explosion.
Jason died as Robin.
His death became associated with A Death in the Family.
The decision to kill the character was put to a telephone vote of readers and the difference was extremely small.
RETURN
RETURN; Jason was resurrected through events related to the Lazarus Pit.
His return was not emotionally clean.
He returned with traumatic memories, anger, and resentment.
He later adopted the identity of Red Hood.
His transformation into Red Hood was directly related to his conflict with Batman and his relationship with the Joker.

Jason uses this identity to establish a separation between himself and Robin.

Jason believes that some criminals are too dangerous to simply be locked up and released later.
That's why, during certain periods, he even killed criminals.
Over time, he became more moderate, and his relationship with the Batman family improved. DC currently describes him as someone who has managed to better control his anger and partially reconcile with Batman and other members of the family.
MORAL CODE

Jason doesn't kill simply because "he likes killing."
His reasoning is:
If an extremely dangerous criminal continues to kill people because Batman always lets him live, Jason considers that Batman's solution may be wrong.
That philosophical conflict is fundamental to understanding it.

DICK GRAYSON

Jason grew up knowing that Dick had been the first Robin.
The comparison between the two was a major source of insecurity.
Despite their fights, Jason considers Dick part of his family.

Jason saw Tim as someone who had taken the place he had left.
