Syakesan (しゃけさん) is the main antagonist of Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea . He was a shark and a former court employee, close to Uomihime. He was also Samekichi's older twin brother and the son of Old and Namikaze.

Physical description
In its shark form, it had oval-shaped red eyes with white pupils. It had a slight blush visible under its eyes and almost always smiled.

Samekichi is Fukami's family friend. They both share romantic feelings for Wadanohara, with Fukami harboring a one-sided rivalry.

Due to Fukami's jealousy and Samekichi's perceived betrayal of Wadanohara, Samekichi often suffered Fukami's violence whenever the octopus managed to get his hands on him. Although their relationship was strained at first because of their mutual romantic feelings for Wadanohara, Fukami eventually accepted that her romantic affection was directed solely toward Samekichi. He decided to support her feelings for Samekichi rather than take advantage of her vulnerability.

Fukami and Samekichi occasionally drink together at the bar run by Tarako. [10] Sometimes, Fukami pretends to want to scare Samekichi on purpose and intimidates him from time to time; even so, "they probably get along well." [10]

When Samekichi left to avenge his brother Syakesan, Fukami noticed how heartbroken Wadanohara was at his departure and accepted her love for him. He comforted her as she wept into his shirt.

Fukami is extremely reserved when it comes to showing his emotions; he doesn't smile even when he feels happy or cheerful. [3] The only time he smiled was during the second bad ending, titled "Betrayal," in Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea . [3] It is said that he "only laughs through emotion." At his worst, he will strangle those he considers adversaries—such as Samekichi—with the intention of killing or maiming them, stopping only due to external factors. Physical description
Fukami has pale skin and short, light blue hair, cut chin-length in a hime style. Her dark gray eyes are depicted with elongated, horizontal pupils, like those of a real cephalopod. In addition to her humanoid legs, she possesses six long, pink tentacles. She wears a knee-length white coat with navy blue trim and long sleeves that cover her black-gloved hands. A scarf-like tie, the same color as the trim, is tied around her neck and features a small embroidered white anchor symbol.
