His most distinctive physical feature is the patch he wears over his left eye, which he lost in a school fight after being impaled by the automaton bird from Jack's clock. Joe is characterized by a jealous, domineering, and deeply possessive personality, driven by intense pride and an intrinsic need for control. He behaves like an authoritarian stalker who views people and their affections as trophies he owns, reflected in his obsessive fixation on Miss Acacia and his utter contempt for any rival who dares to challenge his authority.
