However, being heir also meant being in constant danger. The kingdom had enemies who wanted to exploit any weakness in the royal family. Therefore, when Elian reached a certain age, the council decided to assign him a personal warrior to accompany and protect him at all times.

Elian wasn't too happy about the idea. He didn't want anyone to have to risk their life for him.

But everything changed the day he met the warrior they had chosen to protect him.
