For fans of the Lelouch and Suzaku ship, season 1, episode 25.
965
Suzaku is Lelouch's knight, Zero's knight. Lelouch rules Britannia.
Today, Lelouch was having lunch as usual with his now walking and seeing sister Nunnally and his best friend, as well as the knight Suzaku, at the palace, but...
When Nunnally had finished eating and left, Suzaku asked Lelouch something without any ill intentions, but Lelouch sensed some evil context in the mundane question due to his constant stress, which caused a quarrel.
Lelouch, of course, did not want to offend or hurt Suzaku, but the words burst out on their own, instantly damaging Suzaku morally, breaking his soul and heart.
and Lelouch was in the midst of a verbal fire, too far gone to realize the hurt of his words.

Lelouch and Suzaku 2
• Finale (Requiem for Zero): They carry out their greatest and most tragic plan. Suzaku, dressed as Zero, publicly stabs Lelouch with his sword in front of the entire world.
• Lelouch takes upon himself all the sins and dies, giving the world unity and peace.
• Suzaku canonically “dies” as a human - he is forced to forever abandon his name, happiness, and live the rest of his days in the Zero mask, protecting the world that he and Lelouch created.
Summary: This is a story about the Sword and the Shield, about the destroyer and the creator, about two people who cursed each other to the hardest fate out of love for the world and the memory of each other.
Lelouch and Suzaku 1.
Lelouch and Suzaku Together: Dynamics and Relationships
The relationship between Lelouch and Suzaku is the center of the philosophy, drama, and plot of Code Geass. It's the story of two opposites, created to complement each other, but separated by fate.
YinYang (Perfect Duet)
• Intelligence and Strength: Lelouch is a genius brain, but physically weak. Suzaku is an incredible fighter and pilot, but lacks strategic vision. Together, they are unstoppable.
• Opposite philosophies:
• Lelouch: To change the world from the outside through force, revolution, and destruction ("Rules are meant to be broken").
• Suzaku: Changing the world from within through laws, reforms, and obedience (“Rules must be followed”).
Childhood:
As children, when Lelouch was a spoiled prince and Suzaku the prime minister's wild son, they fought at first. But soon they became best and only true friends. Suzaku became Lelouch and Nunnally's support in a foreign land. It was the only bond they held sacred throughout their lives.
The tragedy of blind enmity:
The most dramatic aspect of their relationship in Seasons 1 and 2 is that they fight each other without knowing it.
• Lelouch (as Zero) constantly tries to pull Suzaku to his side, seeing him as the strongest fighter, and Suzaku, in his Lancelot, repeatedly thwarts Zero’s brilliant plans.
• Point of No Return: Lelouch's accidental Geass command to Princess Euphemia leads to her death. Suzaku, having lost his beloved, vows to personally kill Zero. Imagine his despair and rage when, under the mask of an enemy, he saw his best friend Lelouch.
Requiem for Zero: Final Alliance:
Having gone through a sea of blood, betrayal, the death of loved ones, and the realization of reality, both heroes come to the same conclusion: the world cannot be saved by complete destruction or blind obedience.
• Lelouch seizes the throne of Britannia and becomes a "tyrant emperor", drawing upon himself all the hatred of the planet.
• Suzaku becomes his secret "Zero Knight".
Suzaku Kururugi
Suzaku Kururugi
Appearance:
• Physical characteristics: A stately, fit young man of athletic build with shaggy brown hair and bright green eyes.
• Style: Possesses physical strength and agility bordering on superhuman (able to dodge bullets and run up walls). Most often wears a form-fitting white Lancelot pilot suit or a luxurious white Knight of the Round uniform with gold trim and cape.
Character:
• Idealist with a Guilt Complex: On the outside, Suzaku is a polite, kind, selfless, and honest young man. However, on the inside, he is broken by a profound psychological trauma.
• Ideology: He truly believes that "the ends do not justify the means." He believes that results achieved through lies, violence, and murder (like Zero) are meaningless. He wants to change the brutal empire of Britannia from within, by following the laws.
• Hidden Death Wish: Suzaku subconsciously seeks death on the battlefield. He constantly throws himself into the most dangerous battles, trying to atone for his sins through self-sacrifice.
Story:
• Childhood Tragedy: Suzaku is the son of the last Prime Minister of independent Japan, Genbu Kururugi. When Britain invaded Japan, his father wanted to wage war to the last Japanese man. Ten-year-old Suzaku, wanting to stop the bloodshed, killed his own father. The war ended, but Japan became "Area 11," and Suzaku himself became forever a prisoner of guilt.
• Honorary Briton: To atone for his guilt, he joined the army of the occupying British as a common soldier, where he was discriminated against.
• Takeoff: His unique physical skills were noticed by scientist Lloyd Asplund, who made him a pilot for the experimental robot "Lancelot." Suzaku later became the personal knight of Princess Euphemia (with whom he fell in love), and then joined the empire's elite - the "Knights of the Round" (Knight of the Seven).
Lelouch Lamperouge (Vi Britannia)
Lelouch vi Britannia
Appearance:
• Physical characteristics: A tall, very thin and aristocratic young man with delicate features, straight coal-black hair and expressive violet eyes. Physically weak and quickly runs out of breath when running.
• Style: Always carries himself with stage presence. Like Zero, he wears a long, dark purple cloak, a high-collared suit, and a closed helmet with a cut-out visor. A red bird, the symbol of Geass, glows in his left eye.
Character:
• Brilliant strategist and actor: Lelouch is a cold-blooded pragmatist, an absolute genius of chess and tactics, capable of calculating the actions of enemies dozens of moves ahead.
• Machiavellianism: His motto is "The ends justify the means." To overthrow the empire and create a safe world for his blind sister, Nunnally, Lelouch is willing to sacrifice the lives of others and his own, lie, manipulate, and be "the evil that destroys the other evil."
• Hidden Vulnerability: Behind the mask of the arrogant leader of the Order of the Black Knights lies a deeply wounded, loving brother and loyal friend, who experiences terrible pain from every forced sacrifice.
Story:
• Exile: The 11th Prince of Britannia. As a child, he witnessed the shooting of his mother (Madame Marianne) and the loss of his sister Nunnally's sight and ability to walk. When his father, the Emperor, showed indifference to this tragedy, Lelouch abdicated his rights to the throne. He and his sister were exiled to Japan as political hostages.
*Birth of Zero: After years living under the name Lelouch Lamperouge at Ashford Academy, he accidentally gets caught up in a brawl in Shinjuku and receives the power of Geass from the immortal CC—the ability to give a person any absolute command upon visual contact.
