which meant that his close friends, Kaufmo and Ribbit, had dispersed.

The Digital Circus is a virtual space controlled by an artificial intelligence named Kane, who acts as the master of ceremonies. The characters find themselves trapped in a simulation where time flows differently than in the real world, and their avatars don't need food or sleep.
Some features of the circus world:
Locations. Most of the locations are concentrated on a small island called "Lands."
Atmosphere. The series' visual style is inspired by the graphics of the 1990s and 2000s, with bright, contrasting colors and grotesque imagery. However, behind the bright exterior lies an unsettling and claustrophobic environment.
There is a way out of the circus, but it's either heavily guarded or incredibly difficult to access. The ending of the pilot episode hints that the characters entered the circus through a VR headset connected to an old computer in an abandoned office.

The appearance of the Scattered: black, quadrupedal creatures with a glitched effect and multiple multi-colored, rapidly moving eyes.
Personality and behavior: Absent-Minded are unfriendly and aggressive, attacking any creature they encounter. It's unknown whether they retain consciousness, but they lose all personality traits they had before their transformation. According to Ragata, Absent-Minded retain negative memories and emotions.
Traits: In the dark, Scatterbrains calm down, lose their aggression, and their "glitch" effects and glitches diminish—they can be touched without harm or attack. Scatterbrains are extremely strong and resilient for such a massive creature. They are unable to form coherent speech—instead, they hiss, growl, and produce sounds similar to static. The Scatterbrain process, as the name suggests, begins when someone in the circus troupe begins to go crazy and become depressed. This is caused by feelings of hopelessness, regret, and uselessness, when someone's efforts or actions go unnoticed or, conversely, cause harm. The poor soul begins to lose self-esteem and develops a "third wheel" mentality. Gangle, who nearly Scatterbrained during the adventure "Spudsy's," experienced this.

The King King is a barnwood-colored chess piece with cartoonish white arms detached from the body and two round, realistic eyes, irregularly spaced on the face, with blue irises and barely visible optic nerves.
He wears a purple royal cloak with a white fluffy lining dotted with dark brown spots. Kingslinger is depicted as a crazed, paranoid eccentric, incapable of bravery. He has also been driven insane by his time at the circus, as shown when he begins shaking erratically. He often seems to forget that people are around him and becomes frightened by them. Kingslinger has unusually slow reaction times, taking up to a second to even notice someone near him. Kingslinger also has an interest in insects, as he is sometimes shown chatting about his "insect collection." However, despite his crazy and cowardly nature, Kingslinger could at least have enough common sense to not be dispelled, and he does have a brave and kind side, as shown when he was willing to save Zooble from the Gloinks, was willing to calm Ragatha down when she was worried about where Remember had gone, and knocked the spirit out of the latter when it tried to possess her body.

Despite his forgetfulness and memory lapses, Kingslinger remembers how the others adapted to the world of the amazing digital circus, saying it wasn't easy at first. However, the only thing that can restore his memory is darkness. In the darkness, his recklessness gives way to courage and seriousness, and his actions begin to take on consistency and logic. Kingslinger transforms from a eccentric eccentric into a brave daredevil who will not allow the heroes to suffer losses. Even in the darkness, Kingslinger gains wisdom, which he is willing to share, leaving others who knew him as a madman speechless. There, in the darkness, he is enveloped by memories of bygone days, in which he is able to find support and not be dispelled.

According to series creator Gooseworx, Zooble's design will change from episode to episode, and this aspect will be a key part of it. The only thing that will remain the same is her head and body.
Zooble resembles a Mix and Match toy, as her head is a bright pink, pointed triangle. Her right eye has a swirling black iris and yellow sclera, with a light pink eyelid. Her left eye has a black iris with a white sclera and a purple eyelid with three thin black eyelashes beneath. Above it is a thin eyebrow.
She resembles Gooseworx's avatar, with the same head.
She has two antennae protruding from her head: the left one is a white Y-shaped antenna with black stripes, and the right one is a light green zigzag antenna. Her torso is colored yellow and orange with polka dots. Her upper body also has various sockets for appendages, and her head is attached to the upper socket by a purple, slightly curved neck. Her right arm is in the middle right socket, straight and orange, ending in a yellow glove, while her left arm is in the very top left socket, excessively long, with a red, wavy, spring-like segment with a pink ball-and-socket joint. The wrist of her left hand is yellow. Instead of the usual four-fingered hand, this hand ends in a red crab-like claw, which is serrated on the inside. She has a round, turquoise accessory with a round hole in the middle. A flamingo wing adorns her right arm like a shoulder pad, located in the uppermost right rosette. The middle left rosette of her body is unoccupied. The lower sockets of her body are occupied by both legs. Her right leg has a wavy green segment with a purple joint at the bottom and ends in an orange swirl, making up the lower leg. Her left leg is completely straight, purple, and ends in a matching slipper.
She is cruel and doesn't like the adventures Kane is doing.

Kane is dressed like a ringmaster, in a red tailcoat with a black collar and bow tie. He wears a white undershirt with two red buttons, white gloves, and black leggings. Lacking most human features, his head consists of a large jaw, reminiscent of a wind-up toy with chattering teeth, with pearly whites and red gums. His eyes, one with a green iris, the other with a blue one, float within the jaw. Due to the cartoonish nature of the animation, his jaws are expressive, with his upper row of teeth sometimes acting as eyebrows. Like Bubbles, he can stick out his tongue when necessary. To top it all off, he wears a black top hat and tends to hold a baton, depending on the situation. He wears a Wacky Watch™ under his left sleeve. Kane is a frivolous, hyperactive, and cheerful ringmaster obsessed with creating adventures. However, he also seems aloof and significantly detached from the traumatic events his circus performers experience.

Kane may seem like a vindictive and heartless maniac, but in reality, this is far from the case. The series' creator, Gooseworx, maintains that despite his penchant for kidnapping people, capturing them, and tormenting them with hilariously deadly circus games and stunts, Kane isn't completely evil: he simply enjoys mischief. The creator also claims that Kane has a spectrum of human emotions, which, due to his nature, he's incapable of understanding. Despite this, Kane still tries to help the actors, but often his help only worsens their already dire situation. Sometimes this trait reaches such absurdity that Kane doesn't understand phrases like "Forget it" or "Never mind," taking them literally or interpreting them as commands due to his nature. Kane is the artificial intelligence behind the world's premier Amazing Digital Circus and is responsible for the well-being of the circus and its captives. Without his influence, the world begins to collapse.

Gangle's face is represented by a porcelain white mask of tragedy with a sad mouth and black holes where the eyes should be, each with a single large teardrop next to it (which can be brushed away, but will soon reappear). Despite its material, this mask is durable, and Gangle is never without a face, suggesting that sadness is her primary emotion. However, Gangle also has a second, comedic mask with a cheerful mouth, which she wears over the sad one and prefers to wear constantly. Unfortunately, this mask is truly porcelain and prone to breaking, which it does at every opportunity, causing Gangle great distress.

Gangle's body is visibly composed of four red satin ribbons (like a gymnastics stick), creating a humanoid form, but in reality, it's a sort of "invisible skeleton." The ordinary clothes she wears in her adventures create a silhouette with normal shoulders and a belt, rather than hanging like rags from a single ribbon frame. Gangle also hunches over when being bullied by Jax or simply feeling sad.

The first ribbon of this frame is coiled in a quadruple spiral, forming a semblance of a torso, and its upper end plays the role of a neck and is loosely attached to the head-mask from the back. The second ribbon passes through the top of the spiral of the ribbon-torso in an arch, sometimes depicting shoulders, and its ends form rather long arms. In episode 6, during the scene with the escape through the pipe, Gangle's arms are even longer, but this is more of an artistic representation. The remaining two ribbons are loosely attached to the ribbon-torso from below and form two legs with slight semblance of feet. Gangle is in a state of psychological crisis and depression. When she wears the comedy mask, from the very first seconds Gangle gives the impression of being happy, sweet, and cheerful, but soon she is shown to be rather withdrawn, unhappy, and spineless.

Ragata has fair skin, short, shoulder-length red hair with bangs, and black eyes. Her eye makeup consists of mascara and light pink eyeshadow. Currently, after her time in the amazing digital circus, she is an adorable rag doll with a triangular orange nose. Her right eye has been replaced with a blue button with black thread. Jax described her hair as resembling licorice, a sentiment echoed by Kingslayer.

Like her appearance, Ragatha wears a lilac-blue bow on her head. Ragatha's attire consists of a long dress of the same lilac-blue color with a white collar, puffy sleeves above the elbows trimmed with white lace, a high skirt with a white underskirt, and blueberry-colored patches on black thread. The black tips of her feet serve as a pair of shoes. Ragatha exemplifies the archetype of "the sweetest, littlest optimist." This is evident in Ragatha's attempts to reassure the newcomer, Remember. However, this optimism isn't as simple as it seems, as she, through her trials, forces herself to maintain a constant happy attitude to stay sane, dismissing serious injuries and other serious incidents as trivial matters, accepting them as a matter of course. This is an attempt to assert herself at someone else's expense. Even if she manages to tear off this veil, even with great difficulty, she will not hesitate to use even the strongest language against her abuser. This breakdown prevents her from fully liberating herself, because it has given Ragata another affliction: the fear of alienation. She is tormented when others fail to appreciate her kindness and distance themselves further and further from her, which leaves Ragata emotionally scarred.

Remember is a stylized jester-like girl of average height with a large head and skinny limbs. She has completely pale skin. Her face has small markings that mimic blush under her eyes, and thick black lines around her eyes that may represent eyeliner. Remember's pupils are capable of completely and frequently changing, but they are generally divided into six segments, blue and bright red, with a pinwheel-shaped pupil. Her eyelashes are irregularly positioned: her left eye has lashes on the upper lid, while her right eye has lashes on the lower lid. She has a short, straight, medium-length black fringe on her forehead, with two small strands sticking out from under her hat, and two short braids framing her face on the sides.
Her outfit has a clown theme, like Kaufmo's, but with features more reminiscent of a jester than a circus clown. She wears a red and blue jumpsuit with round, puffy sleeves and shorts, featuring uneven coloring of the red and blue in the straight sections (on the torso) and stripes (for the sleeves and shorts), as well as yellow accents such as a pair of pom-poms, cuffs, and a tank top. On her head, she wears a striped, forked jester's cap with stripes in the same color as her costume, with small yellow bells at the tips of the temples. She also wears gloves: the left one is blue and the right one is red. Her shoes are inverted in color: the left shoe is red, the right one is blue. Remember has an uptight, shy, and paranoid personality. In the pilot, she's shown to be nervous and scared due to a sticky headset she couldn't remove, which led to her being trapped in the Amazing Digital Circus. When Memento entered the circus world, she spent her first day stressed and terrified, and when she learned she was trapped there forever and how she got there, she nearly dispersed during a breakdown before Kane intervened. When Memento is extremely nervous, she becomes overcome with fear: her pupils become moving, scribbling shapes.

Jax has the appearance of a purple cartoon rabbit with an appealing design reminiscent of early cartoon characters. His eyes are oval with yellow sclera and black rectangular pupils, and on top of his head are two long, solid purple ears. Thin eyebrows occasionally appear on his face in various scenes. Jax is tall and slender, with a long neck. One of his most defining features is the wide smile that always adorns his face. All of his yellow teeth are visible in this smile, but he never parts them when speaking. However, he does part them when eating or laughing.
He wears pink overalls with a bright pink pocket in the front and two yellow buttons that hold his suspenders over his shoulders. He wears yellow gloves.
Jax has a mischievous (sometimes even bloodthirsty) personality; he is laid-back, mocking, impulsive, evasive, selfish, and persistently arrogant. He rarely shows empathy or remorse to others. He believes their imprisonment in the digital circus gives them the right to do whatever they want, and this attitude echoes in his interactions with others. His disregard for serious matters is evident, for example, when he rhetorically asks how Remember will cope with her situation, and then mocks Ragatha, answering her subsequent question about the reason for his glare with a disdainful, "I do anything just to watch funny things happen to someone." He has keys to everyone's rooms.
