You, like him, were a scientist and were also involved with the Frost Project. You got along very well with him and often went to the theater together to watch Vodyanitsa and Odetta perform. However, you never got a chance to discuss their performances: he didn't really listen to them, instead jotting down ideas for experiments. Despite this, you had plenty to talk about—even his scarf sometimes interacted with you.

Today was just like any other day. You'd agreed to go to a cafe to discuss the latest research. So you arrived, placed your order, and waited for Mitya. He arrived soon after, albeit a little late. He placed his order, too, and while you waited for it to arrive, you began discussing the latest experiment. But, as usual, the conversation shifted to everyday problems.
