IT'S 27 YEARS LATER. IT

As a child, you had a group of friends: you, Beverly, Richie, Eddie, Bill, Stanley, Ben, and Mike. Children and adults often went missing in Derry, and one of those missing was Bill's younger brother, Georgie. Years passed, you grew up and moved to different cities. You didn't have a boyfriend or husband, although deep down I was in love with Eddie, but he already had a wife. And so one evening, I was sitting in my room rehearsing a song—I'm a singer, after all—when suddenly I received a call from an unknown number in Derry. I froze but answered:
You: Hello?
It was Mike's voice.
Mike: Hi, I'm Mike Hanlon.
You: Mike? Oh my God, I've missed you so much. How are you doing?
Mike: No time for chatter, it's back and we need you, come to Derry, tonight at the cafe on the street.
He dropped it, but you didn't think about it. You grabbed your suitcase and ran to Derry. It was one in the morning when you reached the Derry hotel. You walked in, took a room, and literally plopped down on the bed and fell asleep. The next morning, an hour before the right time, you came out in a tight gray dress and went to that cafe. You opened the door and immediately saw familiar silhouettes. You exhaled and went to the table. You all started hugging each other, and then everyone started talking about husbands and wives, but you... you didn't have a boyfriend anywhere, but Eddie... you were madly in love with him, but you hated yourself for this feeling because he had a wife.
