Imagine a normal afternoon at the club:
Bill: "Obviously I should spend time with her. We have more interests in common."
Josh: "So what? I met her first!"
Pete: watching them silently while eating a bag of chips 👁️👁️
Jerry: "Can we stop arguing? You're making her uncomfortable!"
Bill: "You don't even know what he likes."
Jerry: "YES, I KNOW!"
Josh: "Okay, tell me three things."
Jerry: "..."
Pete: "There are four of them."
💀💀💀
And the worst part would be that everyone would sincerely believe that they are the normal ones in the group.
The real terror wouldn't be having a yandere...
It would be having all four of them together.

📚 Jerry Stokes — The Emotionally Dependent
Jerry could be the one who developed an obsession based primarily on the fear of being abandoned.
I would constantly seek confirmation that I am still important to you.
If you spend time with other people, he might feel replaced.
He would have mood swings when he thought you were ignoring him.
He could become extremely dependent on your attention.
He would try to make you feel guilty for walking away, even if he later regretted it.
His obsession would have more of a "please don't leave me behind" tone than one of domination.

🎨 Pete DiNunzio — The Silent Obsessive
Pete seems interesting to me because he could be the most unsettling without initially seeming so.
He wouldn't necessarily show his jealousy.
I would observe and remember small details about your tastes and routines.
If someone starts to get too close, he would simply become more distant... while he analyzes the situation.
I could try to become the indispensable person for you.
I wouldn't need to say "don't go near them"; I would try to make you walk away yourself.
His obsession would be much harder to detect.

🎲 Josh Levy — The Explosive Jealousy
Josh would probably be the one with the least self-control.
He would get jealous very easily.
I could go from being perfectly calm to arguing because someone received too much attention.
I would constantly try to compete with anyone I consider a threat.
He would throw tantrums when he felt he was being ignored.
He would probably then try to justify it by saying that he was "defending what is his."
It would be so obvious when he's jealous; he'd practically have a neon sign over his head. 💀

🩸 Bill Dickey — The Intellectual Possessive
Bill would probably be the most intense and controlling.
He would become convinced that he is the one who understands you best.
I would analyze every detail of your conversations with other people.
If you dislike someone, I would have a very long explanation of why that person is a "bad influence".
They would try to monopolize your time by focusing on their interests: comics, movies, games, debates…
His jealousy would manifest itself more through manipulation and arguments than through emotional outbursts.
His thought process would be something like, “I’m not being possessive. I just know that others don’t understand you the way I do.”
Yandere type: 🧠 Manipulative / possessive.

Personality
Pete shares the irascible and argumentative nature common to the group, especially Bill and Josh. He is easily angered, defensive, and often insults his companions, getting into fights without hesitation. His particular obsession lies with the horror genre, displaying an almost fetishistic reverence for the masters of horror cinema and special effects artists. Despite his aggression, Pete occasionally attempts to project maturity or take a stand against the group's more extreme behaviors, as seen briefly in "Bring Me Boba Fett's Head," though these moments are usually fleeting. His defensive attitude may be partly due to his family environment, where his interests are disapproved of, particularly by his father.

Personality
Josh is boastful, short-tempered, and a passionate science fiction fan. He quickly resorts to violence when angered, even going so far as to strangle whoever provokes him. Despite his hobby of collecting objects, he is usually unable to complete his collections, which leads to constant frustration. He is also quite selfish and somewhat paranoid, convinced that the other club members and even people outside the club are conspiring against him, as seen in Captain's Journal: Stardate 5598.7, where he claims that Toys R Us was hiding toys and job applications from him. Josh seems to harbor deep negative feelings toward his fellow club members, as he frequently has nightmares in which he is restrained and beaten.

When he's not with the Eltingville Club, Josh enjoys writing fanfiction which he publishes online, earning him cyberbullying from internet trolls, especially from Bill, who uses the pseudonym Greedo318.

The comic mentions that he has a cousin named Nathan.

Personality
Bill is described as an unpleasant and arrogant man-child. He possesses a sadistic sense of humor and an explosive temper, frequently clashing, both verbally and physically, with his fellow club members, particularly Josh Levy, but also with members of his own family. He has a hierarchical view of fandom, believing that the club members, but especially himself, are at the top, which is evident when he feels he has "won" his friends after getting a job at a comic book store. These negative traits intensify to almost sociopathic levels throughout the comic.

She is portrayed as an extremely stubborn person, possessive of her interests, and prone to being exclusionary and superior to those around her, often exhibiting highly prejudiced opinions and hurling homophobic and discriminatory insults at people with disabilities. As an adult in Behold, There Will Be an Epilogue!, Bill's view of life has worsened even further, becoming even more intolerant and believing that women with intellectual interests are merely seeking male attention.

Bill is often unpopular with his colleagues, even within the Club. His fanaticism can reach dangerous levels; in the story "This Fan, This Monster," his brief employment at Joe's Fantasy World culminates in a fire at the store after a power grab that ends in disaster.

In Welcome to Eltingville, Bill's negative qualities are somewhat toned down, as he is seen interacting more positively with the other club members and behaving in a more leader-like manner, although he is ultimately still quite toxic.

Trivia
The comic mentions that he has a dog. Evan Dorkin indicated that the dog would be named after a character related to Bill's interests; however, Bill would not take care of his dog, which would remain in Jane's care.

Personality
Jerry is unique compared to his peers: he is described as having a docile and mild temperament. He is frequently the target of teasing and bullying from the other members, especially Bill, often due to his different interests or less energetic personality. Despite getting caught up in the club's often chaotic antics, Jerry occasionally tries to be the voice of reason, though usually without success. Jerry is also deeply interested in fantasy worlds and role-playing games, and enjoys anime and manga. [1]

Due to his mild-mannered nature and fear of confrontation, Jerry has a strong tendency to please others. He dislikes the seriousness with which the other three club members approach their fandom, but he also doesn't want to lose the only friends he has.

Trivia
Although his real name is said to be Jerome, his mother refers to him in "This Fan, This Monster" as Gerald.
It is said that she has numerous fictional platonic loves.
According to Evan, if he had to write detailed biographies of the characters, he would describe Jerry as neurodivergent.
His musical taste includes video game soundtracks, 8-bit/chiptune music, progressive rock, and J-pop; in addition, Evan Dorkin has mentioned that Jerry likes Vocaloid songs (and that he is in love with Megurine Luka). [ 2 ]
In some panels of the comic, Jerry is shown to be ambidextrous; it is unknown whether this was intentional or simply an inconsistency on Evan's part.
According to Evan, Jerry has "elf feet" and "delicate bones".
Dorkin also speculated that if any member of the club were to become interested in the furry fandom, it would probably be Jerry.
He also indicated that Jerry would like Sonic the Hedgehog. [3]
According to Evan, he never saw Jerry and Bill as a romantic couple, but if the comic had continued, who knows.
