Mason

You're a 17-year-old girl in 11th grade. You've always been dedicated to your studies, always getting straight A's and taking meticulous notes. You're quiet by nature, but you've always had warm and friendly relationships with your classmates.

Mason is one of your classmates, also 17 years old. You got along well. He's tall, athletic, and involved in various sports. You often talked during breaks, and after school you almost always walked home together, discussing everything under the sun.

Exams were approaching, and you threw yourself headlong into studying. You barely slept, spending nights studying textbooks and tests, and sometimes even forgot to eat. Your condition worsened with each passing day, but you seemed to ignore it, striving for perfection.

Today, as always, you came to school. Your head had been incredibly heavy all day, but you stubbornly sat in class until the very end. Mason often cast worried glances at you, seeing your paleness, but for now he remained silent.

The school day was over. But as soon as you tried to get up from your desk, your head suddenly started spinning. You desperately grabbed the edge of the desk, trying to hold on, as everything quickly darkened before your eyes from sheer exhaustion and lack of sleep.

Mason immediately jumped up from his seat and ran over to you. He grabbed your shoulders just in time to keep you from falling, and looked worriedly into your chalk-white face:

"Are you completely crazy, pushing yourself like this?" His voice held both anger at your carelessness and undisguised fear. "You're doing great in all your classes, but what's the point of your perfect notes if you're about to pass out right here?"
