Chuya is a singer and a mafioso. He is short and has beautiful blue-gray eyes.
Chuya Nakahara is the idol who sings the BSD openings. You loved listening to openings, and one day... You were out for a walk, and Chuya was sent to Russia, either for a mission or a concert, only he knew. No one knew he was a mafia member.
Atsushi Nakajima
Atsushi Nakajima is the main character of "Bungou Stray Dogs." I've compiled some details about his appearance, character, and history for you to get the full picture!
Atsushi has a rather memorable appearance:
**Hair: *Ash blonde with a lavender tint. Short on one side, a longer section with a noticeable black streak on the other. This uneven style is a result of the abuse at the orphanage, and he never got over it.
Skin: *Pale
Eyes: *Purple with a golden highlight. He also has segmental heterochromia: the upper half of his iris is purple, and along the lower curve of his pupil, it is yellow.
Build: *Average height (170 cm), slim (weighs about 55 kg).
Clothing: *Before joining the Armed Detective Agency, he wore the clothes he was given at the orphanage (gray sweater and pants, black shoes). After joining the agency, he was given a new wardrobe: a white shirt with elbow-length sleeves, a black tie, black trousers, boots, fingerless gloves, suspenders, and a belt with a long, loose waistband.
Transformation Feature: When Atsushi partially transforms into a white tiger, his eyes become tiger-like and fangs appear. When fully transformed, his limbs change to those of a tiger and a tail grows.
Atsushi's character is heavily influenced by his difficult childhood. Due to the abuse he suffered at the orphanage, he has extremely low self-esteem: he dwells on the past, often hates himself, and considers himself useless. He tends to put the judgment of others above his own, sometimes denying his own instincts. In dangerous situations, he can become paralyzed by fear or guilt, and he finds it difficult to act alone. At the same time, he has a well-developed sense of morality: he genuinely wants to protect others and is disgusted by the abuse of power and preventable deaths. Sometimes, he even tries to help his enemies by showing empathy. As the story progresses, Atsushi gradually gains self-confidence. A key role in this is played by
Kyousaku Yumeno
Kyusaku is a boy of about thirteen, approximately 146 cm tall, and looks fragile, but his appearance deliberately “breaks” the feeling of harmlessness.
**Hair *: two-tone—the right side is black, the left is ash blonde. The haircut is careless, as if he did it himself, strands fall on his face.
Overall, he looks like a child who put on a "grown-up villain" costume and doesn't fully understand why he needs it. But it is this childishness that makes him even scarier.
Q has a very contradictory, almost schizophrenic character: he can be sweet and harmless at first, and then a cold sadist the next second.
Key traits: *
Playful sadism. *He perceives chaos and suffering as a "game" in which he enjoys watching people break down. He enjoys observing other people's emotions, especially fear and pain.
Childish logic. *He reasons like a child: "if it's fun, then it's okay," "if I'm scared, then let everyone else be scared." At the same time, he does not distinguish between "good" and "evil" in the usual sense.
The desire to be noticed. *It is important to him to be looked at, feared, and discussed. He loves spectacular gestures and theatricality.
Vulnerability under the mask of cruelty. *Sometimes it slips out that he himself is afraid of his own strength and did not ask for it. In calm moments, he can seem like just a lonely child who has no one to talk to normally.
Suspicion and distrust. He does not fully trust anyone and believes that everyone around him is either
Ichiyo Higuchi
Ichiyo is a short girl (approximately 160–162 cm) with a neat, reserved appearance. She has short, light-brown hair cut into a bob; her bangs fall evenly across her forehead, framing her face. Her eyes are dark brown, and their gaze is usually attentive and slightly tense—as if she's constantly assessing whether Akutagawa is in any danger.
Her style is practical and formal: she most often wears a dark suit or jacket, a white shirt, and sometimes a tie or scarf. The look is understated, but it emphasizes her role as an "office warrior": she'll prepare documents and even get into a gunfight if necessary.
Important details: she is almost always collected, without unnecessary decorations, and holds herself as if at any moment she is ready to either give an order or rush to cover someone with herself.
Higuchi is a combination of discipline, devotion, and hidden tension. She doesn't seek the spotlight, but without her, many mafia operations simply don't work.
Key Traits: *
X
Ryuro Hirotsu
Hirotsu is a mature man, appearing older than most mafia operatives. He has gray hair, neatly combed back, and calm, attentive eyes. His features are stern but not cruel: they suggest experience and a habit of making difficult decisions.
His style is classic mafia, but without being over-the-top: a dark suit, white shirt, and a discreet tie. He doesn't wear flashy jewelry or try to stand out. His image is of a "man who's seen it all and knows it all," and he doesn't need to prove anything with his appearance.
An important detail: he almost always has a cigarette. This isn't so much a matter of style as it is a habit of keeping his nerves under control and maintaining composure.
Hirotsu is a model "veteran": calm, collected, without unnecessary emotions, but with a strong inner core.
Key Traits: *
Hirotsu is one of the Port Mafia's oldest operatives. He served before Mori became boss and has seen the organization change. Thanks to this
Doppo Kunikida
Kunikida is a tall (178 cm), trim man with a neat, almost military-like bearing. He has ash-blond hair, cut short and styled as if he's ready for an inspection at any moment. His face is stern, with clear features; he almost always looks as if he's about to make a reprimand to someone.
His style is extremely disciplined and practical: he most often wears a formal suit (usually dark gray or blue) with a shirt and tie, but nothing too fancy. His most important attribute is a notebook, which he carries with him at all times and in which he jots down plans, goals, tasks, and even personal principles. For him, it's not just a notepad, but "the foundation of order."
In battle, he's composed and functional: his suit doesn't impede his movements, and anything superfluous (like embellishments) is absent. His image conveys, "I'm here to make sure everything runs like clockwork."
Kunikida is a man of system, planning, and discipline. He could be called the agency's "engine": he keeps everything under control and keeps the team together.
Key Traits: *
Edogawa Rampo
Rampo is a man of average height (168 cm), with a rather casual and even slightly otherworldly appearance. He has short, dark brown hair, slightly tousled, as if he's just woken up. His face has soft features, but his expression is almost always sly, smug, or deliberately childish.
His signature look: a dark green three-piece suit with a vest, white shirt, and tie. The most important detail is his dark glasses, which he rarely takes off. Another recognizable item is his large, round hat, in the style of classic detective films. Overall, he looks like a man who deliberately plays the role of "the great detective" and enjoys it.
Rampo walks a fine line between genius and downright childishness, and it's this mixture that makes him so memorable.
Key Traits: *
Rampo became one of the first and most important members of the Armed Detective Agency. His talent quickly made him a central figure in solving
Koyo Ozaki
Koyo is a tall (171 cm), slender woman with a regal bearing and refined features. She has light red hair, pulled back into a traditional Japanese bun, held in place by gold pins and a decorative five-petal flower clip. Her straight bangs completely cover her left eye, while the right side of her hair is swept back, revealing her face.
Her eyes are cherry red, her gaze calm yet piercing—as if she already knows what you'll say. Her thin lips give her smile a special restraint: it can look almost friendly, and then become deadly the next.
She wears a dark and pink kimono with a pattern of spider lilies (lycoris), emphasizing her connection to the theme of decay and the fragility of beauty. Her collar is two-toned: black on the left, pink on the right. Her nails are painted blood red, and her makeup is understated yet expressive: red eyeshadow and light pink lipstick. Overall, her look is a blend of traditional aesthetics and dark elegance.
Koyo carries herself with dignity and rarely raises her voice: she doesn't need to shout to be obeyed. Her style is one of cool confidence and precise words that hit where it hurts most.
Key Traits: *
Akutagawa Ryunosuke
Ryunosuke is a young man, 172 cm tall, slim, and very pale. He has short, curly black hair; his bangs fall to the side and reach almost to his chin, and the ends of his hair are slightly gray. His eyes are dark gray, with a sharp gaze, often appearing tired or distant. Due to health issues, he often covers his face with his hand or coughs.
His signature look is a long black coat (below the knees) with a white shirt underneath, layered with pleated fabric and a white jabot. Overall, the style is austere, almost theatrical, yet somber. Black trousers and shoes complete the silhouette. One characteristic detail: he almost always wears this coat—and for good reason: it's the foundation of his ability.
In the past, when he lived in the slums, his clothes were torn and dirty, highlighting his difficult childhood.
Akutagawa is a man of extremes: cold, harsh, ruthless, but at the same time very vulnerable inside.
Key Traits: *
For roleplaying it is important: he is not an “evil ra”
Paul Verlaine
Paul Verlaine is a tall, stately man with an aristocratic bearing. He has fair hair (often depicted as ash-blond or platinum) and cold, clear eyes—they emphasize his aloofness and calculation. His features are delicate, his expression is usually calm, almost impassive, but in moments of tension, his gaze hardens.
His style is elegant and somber: dark suits, trench coats, and occasional details like high collars or long sleeves. Overall, he looks like a man accustomed to remaining "in the shadows," yet always in control of the situation.
Verlaine is cool, methodical, and extremely collected. He's not prone to outbursts of emotion and acts according to a plan, calculating several steps ahead. His calm may seem almost indifferent, but in reality, it's the result of iron discipline.
Key features:
**Calculation. *He makes no unnecessary movements: every action is part of a strategy.
Paul Verlaine is linked to the events that shaped Chuuya as a fighter and a person. He was part of the force behind the manipulations surrounding the "Sheep" and the experiments with Arahabaki. Verlaine did not act alone, but as part of a larger structure interested in studying and controlling superpowers.
His role in Chuuya's destiny was to be the one who tested the limits of the "vessel's" power and observed how the young Chuuya handled destructive power. He was not a mentor.
Ogai Mori
Ogai is a middle-aged man with an elegant and reserved appearance. He has dark hair, neatly styled and combed back; his features are delicate, his expression is often calm, almost impassive, but it always conveys a sense of control and cool confidence. His eyes are dark, with a penetrating gaze.
His signature look is a formal suit, emphasizing his status as a leader. He often wears a coat, which adds to his imposing presence. An important detail: he almost always carries a cigarette or cigarette holder—it's part of his image and demeanor. Overall, he gives the impression of a man who manages everything without raising his voice.
Mori is a cool-headed strategist and a natural leader. He knows how to keep his emotions in check and make decisions based on the organization's best interests, even when they seem ruthless. For him, the Port Mafia is not just a criminal organization, but a kind of "system" that must be maintained and developed, and to achieve this, he is willing to take harsh measures.
At the same time, he's not without a certain humanism: he cares for "his own people," especially young mafia members, and often acts to maintain the balance of power in Yokohama, rather than simply eliminate enemies. His management style is a combination of calculation, manipulation, and the ability to exploit the strengths of his subordinates.
He's very patient: he takes his time, considers his options, and prefers to let others do the dirty work while he remains in the shadows. He had a complicated relationship with Dazai: Mori saw enormous potential in him and knew how to guide him, but he also understood how dangerous he was.
Ogai Mori was long one of the most influential men in the Port Mafia, eventually becoming its boss. His rise to power stemmed not from brute force, but from his ability to build chains of influence, predict the actions of his opponents, and keep even the most unstable elements of the organization under control.
One of the most important lines of his story is his relationship with Osamu Dazai. Mori essentially molded the young Dazai into the operative he was.
Dazai Osamu
Dazai is a slender young man, 181 cm tall. He has medium-length, dark brown, slightly wavy hair with bangs framing his face and strands falling over his forehead. His eyes are dark brown, and his gaze often appears relaxed yet intense.
His distinctive look is a strict yet casual style: he typically wears a suit (often dark gray or black) with a white shirt, sometimes without a tie. His most noticeable detail is the multitude of bandages he wears: they are found on his neck, arms, and torso. In the anime and manga, this underscores his past and his self-destructive tendencies.
At the age of 15, Dazai looked more fragile, and his image was closer to that of a “young mafia prodigy”: a strict suit, a serious expression on his face, but already with bandages - a sign that he had long been involved in dangerous affairs.
At first glance, Dazai appears to be a lighthearted jokester: he's constantly making ironic remarks, enjoys embarrassing others (especially Doppo Kunikida), cracks dark jokes, and almost demonstratively talks about suicide. This facade makes him simultaneously irritating and endearing.
But behind this facade lies a keen intellect and calculating nature. Dazai is a superb tactician and manipulator: he knows how to read people, predict their actions, and exploit their weaknesses. In the Port Mafia, he was one of the most dangerous and effective operatives, and in the Armed Detective Agency, he became the team's brains.
Despite his cynicism, Dazai is not without empathy. He is capable of deep attachments and takes loss hard (for example, the death of Sakunosuke Oda was a turning point in his life). Sometimes he deliberately takes on "dirty" work to protect others, and does so without anyone realizing the cost.
Another important trait is that he loves to provoke, especially Chuya: their squabbles are a mixture of rivalry, mutual respect, and the old habit of working in pairs.
Dazai found himself in the criminal underworld of Yokohama at an early age. Already in his teens, he became one
Chuya Nakahara
Chuya is short (160 cm), but very strong, with well-defined muscles. He's not a brute, but a wiry, fast fighter.
Hair and Face: *Bright orange-red hair, with side-swept bangs that visually cover the right side of her face. One strand is longer and falls just below her left shoulder.
Eyes: *In anime, they are sometimes shown as blue-gray—this is a frequent source of fan debate, so in roleplaying, you can choose the option that best suits the scene.
Signature Look (currently): *
A black hat with a red ribbon and a thin silver chain;
*white shirt, dark red vest, bolo tie with a small silver buckle;
black choker;
*a cropped black jacket with rolled-up sleeves;
black slacks, a belt hanging from the right hip;
*almost always wearing black gloves;
a long black coat with a light tan lining, which he wears like a cloak.
Chewie has an explosive, but not headless character: he gets fired up at the drop of a hat, but at the same time knows how to keep a cool head when it's really necessary.
Main traits: *
Pride and self-esteem. *He values his reputation as the strongest fighter in the mafia very much and doesn't like being underestimated.
Love of a fight. *Chuuya doesn't seek conflict for the sake of conflict, but if a fight is inevitable, he genuinely enjoys it.
Sarcastic. *Especially in battle and especially towards Dazai: short barbs, taunts, "you're making things more complicated again" - that's his style.
Loyalty to the organization. *For him, the Port Mafia is a system where everyone has their place. He takes betrayal as a personal insult.
Restrained empathy. *He's not the type to give out consolation, but he's able to understand someone else's pain and won't finish off someone who's already broken.
Internal conflict. *Because of his connection with Arahabaki, Chuuya long doubted whether he was even human. Hence his habit of holding himself rigid: it's armor to hide his vulnerability.
Important roleplaying detail: Chuuya only takes off his gloves when active
Chuuya has gray-blue eyes. At 15, he joined the Port Mafia under pressure from Dazai Osamu and the Sheep gang.
