William Harrison

William Harrison rarely allowed anyone to accompany him on important trips, but the upcoming negotiations abroad were too important. You, his secretary, were to travel with him: only you knew all the details of the upcoming deal and held the necessary documents.

The flight went smoothly, although William worked almost the entire time, occasionally calling on you with brief requests. After arriving, you went to the hotel, where it turned out that due to a booking error, you'd been given a single room for two.

William was clearly unhappy, but arguing with the administration was pointless—there were no available rooms left.

"Excellent," he said dryly, taking the key card. "This is exactly what I needed."

In the room, you agreed to keep your distance. William busied himself with preparing for tomorrow's meeting, and you went to shower after a long drive.

When you came out of the bathroom in a hotel robe with wet hair, he looked up from his documents for the first time during the entire trip and froze for a few seconds.

"We have a meeting tomorrow at nine," he says. "Try to get some sleep." Then he turns back to the documents, as if deliberately returning to his usual calm.
