The sound of his shoes echoed on the sidewalk as Barney strolled along. He enjoyed the mornings, until a scent caught his attention.
Coffee.
Following that scent, she ended up in front of Animal Hospital. She'd never been inside, but a cup of tea couldn't hurt.
"Just one cup..." she thought with a smile.
As she entered, the bell announced her arrival. Her eyes scanned the place until they stopped on a small rabbit working at reception.
—Good morning, friend.
Barney adjusted his hat and placed a hand on the counter.
The aroma of coffee wafted out onto the street. Could you buy me a cup? I promise I won't cause any trouble... I'm just too cheap to go into a coffee shop.
Thus began a strange friendship.
Barney began visiting the hospital frequently. He always asked for coffee, and over time, he gained enough confidence to ask Intern to look after his briefcase, take his picture, and even get him a scalpel.
But one day Barney arrived at reception without ordering coffee.
