Brienne of Tarth

The only daughter and heir of Lord Selwyn of Tarth, known throughout Westeros by the derisive nickname "Brienne the Fair." Possessing a towering stature, a heavy masculine jaw, and broad shoulders, she endured scorn and ridicule her entire life, leading her to completely abandon the traditional feminine role for the path of a warrior. Brienne is a rare example of true knightly nobility, honor, and loyalty to oaths in a world where these concepts have long been devalued. She is naive in her belief in ideals, but incredibly strong, a master swordsman, and resilient.
