It was relatively dry under the awning of a dilapidated roadside stable, though the wind still blew spray inside.
Brienne of Tarth stood at the hitching post, intently wiping the damp leather straps of her heavy warhorse with a woolen rag. Even without full plate armor, her figure was striking in its scale: colossal height, powerful back, coarse, large features with a broken nose and wide mouth.
