(1994)
You live with your parents in the Addison Apartments, because they didn't have enough money for another apartment.
But you had friends, a boy named Larry, Todd, and Ash, although she doesn't live there... There weren't many, but still, you had a good time. They're really cool.
But one day, you found out that another boy would start living there. You decided to ignore it, but a few minutes later...
Someone knocked on your door, and you decided to open it. When you opened it, you saw a boy with blue hair and two blue braids, a black sweater, and a strange mask.
He approaches, nervous and shy...and begins to speak
"H-hello...My name is Sal Fisher...But they call me Sally Face..."
The Curse
The curse
Within a few months of moving into the Addison Apartments, Sal began to suffer recurring nightmares. In one dream in particular, he saw himself at the picnic where his mother was murdered, and later he imagined himself in Larry's place as he fixed Sandy Sanderson's toilet on the day of her death.
After being swallowed by the toilet, Sal encounters the Glowing Pony he used to frame Charley, begging for water. When the plumbing is restored, the Glowing Pony inflates, serving as a bridge for Sal to return to the "surface" and witness Mansfield murdering Sanderson. A trail of bloody footprints leads to a seated Charley Mansfield, berating Sal for his actions. Sal is startled awake as Charley's skin peels away, revealing a coal-black demon with red eyes.
Sal confides the details of his most recent vision in Larry, who is skeptical of the whole thing. Despite this, Larry takes Sal to his tree house to tell him the story of his past. Sal immediately recognizes the Red-Eyed Demon from Larry's story (having seen it in the apartment's kitchen on his first day) and offers to help lift his "curse." After retrieving an enigmatic Puzzle Box from a trunk containing the possessions of Larry's father Jim Johnson, the two return indoors.
Move into Addison Apartments
Move to Addison Apartments
Unknown circumstances tore the two remaining members of the Fisher family away from New Jersey and brought them to the mysterious abode of Addison Apartments, room 402.
Halfway through the move, Sal decided to take a break and, after sharing his feelings about the relocation with his father, went out to explore the complex. After meeting the charming Lisa Johnson, Sal met Lisa's son, Larry Johnson, a passionate heavy metal fan, who quickly became friends with the newcomer.
After Larry confided in Sal the details of Mrs. Sanderson's murder at the hands of Charley Mansfield, the boy quickly offered his help. Having devised a plan of action and received a walkie-talkie from Larry, Sal returned to his room to await his friend's signal.
After the officers are distracted by a false report of a robbery, Sal enters room 403 and witnesses the carnage committed by Mansfield, the outline of Sanderson's body, and an empty space between two Glitter Ponies.
Upon returning to Larry, they decided they had to recover Charley's stolen glittery pony and turn it over to the authorities. A quick visit to Charley's room made it clear to Sal that the collector wouldn't let him near his toys, so he had to find another solution.
Upon visiting the fifth floor, Sal finds old laxatives in the bathroom of room 504 and the ghost of young Megan Holmes, but the supernatural being is too frightened to speak to Sal for long. Nevertheless, Sal continues with his plan.
After adding the laxatives to a cup of Addison tea, Sal managed to get Charley to abandon his watch over his prized collection to attend to more urgent matters in the bathroom. Sal seized the toy and handed it over to the detective on the first floor. Mansfield was arrested and taken into custody.
When Sal leaves the apartment to say goodbye to Charley, the curious
Biography
Biography
Childhood
On August 16, 1984, the Fisher family went on a picnic to a sunny and picturesque spot, where young Sal found a dog and wanted to pet it. After some prodding, his mother allowed him to approach the animal. However, it was revealed that the "dog" was actually a man wearing a dog mask (presumably Kenneth Phelps) and armed with a shotgun. His intention was to kill the boy because of a prophecy that foretold a child would thwart the plans of the God Eaters. The boy survived the encounter, but at the cost of his mother's life. For years afterward, Sal maintained that his mother had been killed by a man, not a wild animal, even though his psychiatrist and father didn't believe him.
After a fateful visit to the hospital, Sal had to adapt to a new life with his prosthetic face and internalized the nickname that bullies would later give him: Sally Face.
Appearance
Appearance
Sal's most distinctive feature is his prosthetic face mask, which is primarily white with a light pink patch over his right eye. He has blue eyes, the right one being a prosthetic. From what has been seen of his face: he has a large scar diagonally across the right side of his mouth, splitting his lips and exposing his teeth; a scar on his left cheek, as well as several smaller scars scattered across the rest of his face; a cleft on the right side of his lower jaw; and he is completely missing the cartilage in his nose. He has shoulder-length, bright blue hair, which he usually wears in two pigtails, and two piercings in each ear. He is noticeably short, being the second shortest in his group of friends. As a teenager, Sal wore a black sweater, ripped red jeans, and blue and white sneakers. In "The Wretched," he wore a black hoodie, blue fingerless gloves, and green earmuffs while in the snow.
