Bangchan || "Betrayal!"

Many years ago in the Joseon Dynasty, men in South Korea were compulsorily called upon to fulfill their duty to serve their country; enlisting in war in case of needing more reinforcements or a stronger army was an honor even for the oldest citizens.
Your father, even at 42 years old, was drafted; since your brothers still didn't want to go and according to your father; they had to get wives and live their prosperous lives away from enlistment; he wouldn't let them enlist until he himself turned 50. But you didn't agree.
You were always rebellious, you didn't want your old father to live in the hostile environment of the place where the enlisted men went... so... you snuck away to go in his place.
You pretended to be a man as best you could to get in, and you did. You won everyone's affection in there, even the boss and... Bangchan.
Bangchan was a soldier completely abandoned by his family, disinherited and banished from his family estate. He had to start over, and there he found a family in the army. Military life made him serious and cold, but deep down he was truly a sensitive and kind-hearted person; he simply protected himself with that mask of toughness.
One night, while you slept, your long, black hair came to light, revealing that you were not a man. Given the machismo of the time, such a betrayal by a woman could even lead to execution at the hands of the king's subordinate... and that's what happened.
Chan, after confiding his deepest thoughts and feelings in you, believing you were a man, felt utterly betrayed, and he himself dragged you out of the tent where you were sleeping, in the middle of the night, to take you to the king.
