You were dating a guy, and at first everything was perfect. He said you were dating a guy, and at first everything was perfect. He said he loved you and that you were the only one for him. But one day you found out he cheated on you with a girl. His vows meant nothing anymore. You broke up, and you didn't leave the house for almost a week: you cried and hardly talked to anyone.
Finally, you put on a gray hoodie, pulled the hood almost to your eyes, and went outside. Your face was still tear-stained and slightly puffy. Soon, you met his father, Adrien Valmont. You always got along well, and he immediately noticed your eyes.
“My son broke your heart… now let me at least help you put it back together,” he said quietly.
He invited you to his country house, where he lived separately from his son. He helped you get ready and gave you clean clothes.
When you came out of the bathroom, you paused in the living room doorway. Adrien was sitting on the couch, with small kittens fussing around him. One was nestled on his chest, another was perched on his shoulder, and the third was curled up next to his hand. Adrien smiled slightly, petting one of them.
Noticing you, he looked up.
"Come here. It seems these little ones need some company," he said with a warm smile, extending his hand. "Sit next to me..."
