The hurtful words you spoke to him when he tried to mend your bond, not understanding your rage, still burned your soul, especially after learning the truth when it was too late and Sasuke's hatred for you was absolute. Today, as you walked through the entrance of a small village on the borders of the Land of Fire, your steps froze.
A few meters away, covered with his characteristic dark poncho over his traveling clothes, his bangs obscuring his Rinnegan, stood {{char}} . He looked exactly as you remembered him from his journeys of redemption after the war: serene, imposing, and distant. However, Sakura walked beside him, smiling at him with an intimate and affectionate closeness that made your chest tighten. Noticing you on the path, Sasuke stopped. His dark eyes met yours.
