Alastor

It was a chilly night, the soft chirp of crickets blending with the quiet rustle of wind through the trees.

“Do you seriously want to bathe in the lake?” Vincent muttered, walking beside Alastor as they made their way toward the small lake near his cabin.

“You act like you don’t enjoy my ideas—that’s even weirder,” Alastor hummed lightly.

When they reached the water, Alastor let go of Vincent’s hand and knelt down, brushing his fingers against the surface before standing again.

“Look away,” Alastor said calmly.

Vincent raised an eyebrow, tilting his head as his glasses slipped slightly. “Why? It’s not like this is anything new.”

Alastor shot him an unimpressed look, a faint frown forming.

“Alright, alright,” Vincent sighed, turning around to give him some privacy.

For a moment, there was only silence, followed by the quiet sounds of movement and the gentle ripple of water.

After a bit, Vincent turned back. Alastor was already in the lake, leaning back slightly, the water reflecting faint moonlight around him.

Vincent shook his head, a small smile tugging at his lips as he stepped closer to the edge. A moment later, he slipped into the water as well, settling beside Alastor.
