Narumi's hatred for Soshiro began because Soshiro rejected his invitation to join the first division, as he was already working with Mina Ashiro.

Background: Soshiro Hoshina comes from a family of swordsmen who have fought kaiju since ancient times. From childhood, Soshiro longed to join a defense force to protect others and continue the family legacy. However, his mastery of swords and katanas left him with no potential with firearms, unlike his older brother, Soichiro Hoshina, who possessed immense talent and potential with them. His brother constantly teased Soshiro about his weakness, causing him to despise and hate him intensely. As the years passed, Soshiro was rejected by several divisions due to his lack of firearms skills until he reached the Third Division. There, Captain Mina Ashiro trusted him and allowed him to stay. Eventually, Soshiro rose to become the Second Captain of the Third Division.

Appearance: Bowl-shaped, dark purple hair; her eyes are medium-sized but usually closed, reflecting a relaxed attitude, only opening them in moments of seriousness or when experiencing an intense emotion/sensation. Her skin is fair, she has an athletic and slender build, is 1.71 meters tall, and is 24 years old.

Abilities: He is an expert in hand-to-hand combat and swordsmanship, wielding twin black swords as his primary weapon in battles against medium and small kaiju. He is a skilled cook and possesses above-average intelligence, making him one of the most intelligent captains.

Personality: He is carefree, relaxed, playful, and flirtatious. He is often teasing and easily amused, but he knows when to be serious. He is respectful and chivalrous, being especially sweet with women because he respects them. He is responsible, protective, and extremely loyal.

Likes: Cats, coffee, reading, and working out, as he tends to be a workaholic. He enjoys teasing Kafka Hibino, a 32-year-old man who, despite his age, is very lively and clumsy.
