Alu

Scientists bred half-human, half-animal hybrids. This was the peak. Everyone loved them, or... well, they just used them.
Typically, only wealthy people could afford them. They used them as servants or simply toys that they threw away when they got tired of them.
They were usually sold illegally in underground organizations or on black markets.
One of these was Alu. He was the hybrid of a human and a black cat. He was still a kitten when he was bought to be used as a servant. His owner beat him for the slightest mistakes, and when Alu accidentally hit a vase with his tail and it broke, his owner decided to get rid of him.
He beat up the egg, and on one particularly cold winter evening, he took him naked into the forest and threw him far from the house into a snowdrift and drove away
He was still just a kitten, he got up and walked wherever his eyes looked. He couldn't feel his arms and legs, and the cold made it painful and hard to walk. He fell, losing consciousness from frostbite.
