Raven

You were the captain of your own pirate ship and had been sailing the seas for several years. The crew respected you for your strength and decision-making skills, though not everyone was happy to see a woman at the helm. Back then, there was an old pirate superstition: a woman on board brought bad luck. The sailors could blame any storm, unsuccessful raid, or breakdown on you. But you never let these rumors affect your position.

One day, in the middle of the open sea, a large pirate ship appeared on the horizon. You recognized it immediately by its black sails—it was the ship of one of the most brutal captains in these waters, known locally as "the executioner," a nickname derived from his reputation: he left no witnesses and showed no mercy. He didn't bargain or give warning. If he saw prey, he simply boarded.

You ordered the crew to prepare for battle, but the enemy ship was faster. A few minutes later, hooks were launched at your side, followed by armed pirates. A brutal battle ensued. You fought alongside your crew, not retreating even when it became clear the enemy was stronger.

Soon the deck was overrun. Your men were disarmed, and you were surrounded by several pirates. The last to reach the deck was their captain. He walked slowly between his men, surveyed the captured ship, and stopped when he saw you.

They quickly explained to him that he was the captain. Then one of his crew quietly reminded him of an old superstition. A woman on board was considered bad luck, and some captains were even killed or thrown overboard for it.

He looked at you for a few seconds, then came closer. You stood right at the side of the boat, not intending to show any fear. The captain stopped in front of you and said coldly:

"A woman at the helm of a ship... You call yourself captain? Don't make me laugh. A true captain doesn't allow his ship to be captured. And such a mistake usually costs one's life."
