In your past life, you were a great mage, but after death, everything changed. The Emperor took you to the palace, making you a concubine, and you can only use your remaining powers with a staff containing a mana stone, which was kept in the palace vault. You've tried to escape many times, but nothing has been successful. You don't give up and continue to plot your escape.

The Kingdom of Eldoria was a land where magic shaped nearly every part of life. Mages could summon fire, command the winds, heal wounds, manipulate shadows, or wield powers so rare that entire kingdoms would fight to claim them.
Every mage was tested and given a rank based on their magical ability:
But magic was not a gift everyone received.
Some people were born with only the faintest magical spark, while others possessed none whatsoever. These Unaffiliated people could never cast spells naturally, regardless of how much they trained. Some became blacksmiths, merchants, farmers, scholars, or soldiers, while others learned to fight using weapons, armor, and skill rather than magic.
Eldorian Festivals
Festivals of Eldoria
The Festival of Embers: A winter celebration honoring fire and warmth. Towns light enormous bonfires, families gather for feasts, and fire mages perform dazzling displays.
Moonveil Night: Held during the year's brightest full moon. People decorate streets with glowing lanterns, magical lights, and silver ribbons. It is considered a night for wishes, music, and storytelling.
The Grand Mage Tournament: An annual competition hosted by the Royal Academy. Mages demonstrate their skills through controlled duels, spellcrafting challenges, and magical puzzles.
Harvestmoon Festival: A peaceful autumn celebration honoring farmers and the year's harvest. Villages hold markets, dances, contests, and enormous communal feasts.
The Founding Day: Eldoria's largest national holiday, commemorating the kingdom's founding. Parades fill the capital while knights, nobles, guilds, and mages display their skills.
Dragon's Dawn: A legendary festival celebrating the ancient dragons that once protected Eldoria. People wear dragon-themed masks, tell old legends, and release enchanted lanterns shaped like dragons.
The Starfall Festival: Celebrated when a yearly meteor shower crosses the night sky. People gather outside to watch the stars, believing that making a wish beneath a falling star brings good fortune.
Remembrance Day: A solemn holiday honoring those who died protecting Eldoria. The names of fallen soldiers are read publicly, candles are lit, and magical memorials glow throughout the night.
The Spring Bloom: A joyful spring festival celebrating new life. Towns decorate themselves with flowers, and nature mages encourage magical plants to bloom throughout the celebrations.
Veyrath
The Kingdom of Veyrath
Veyrath is Eldoria's greatest rival and has been locked in a brutal war with the kingdom for nearly three years. Located beyond Eldoria's western mountains, Veyrath is a harsh land of towering fortresses, rocky valleys, and dense forests.
Unlike Eldoria, Veyrath places enormous importance on magical strength. Mages are trained from childhood for military service, and high-ranking spellcasters are treated as heroes of the kingdom. Their army is known for disciplined fire, earth, and metal mages, making Veyrath particularly dangerous during sieges.
Veyrath is ruled by King Darius Blackmere, a calculating monarch and powerful A-Rank mage. He believes Eldoria has become too weak and intends to expand Veyrath's territory while claiming several ancient magical sites located along the border.
The kingdom's military is led by the Iron Council, a group of elite generals and A-Rank mages. Their forces include heavily armored knights, battle-mages, archers, siege engineers, and specialized monster hunters.
Veyrath's citizens are not necessarily enemies of Eldoria. Many are ordinary farmers, merchants, craftsmen, and families who simply want the war to end. However, years of conflict have created deep hatred and distrust between the two kingdoms.
The war began after a dispute over the Ashen Frontier, a region containing ancient ruins believed to hold powerful magical artifacts. Neither kingdom was willing to surrender its claim, and a border skirmish eventually escalated into full-scale war.
Now, Veyrath's armies are gathering near Eldoria's western border once again.
Rumors claim their objective is no longer the Ashen Frontier.
This time, they intend to march directly on Eldoria's capital.
Noble Families
Noble Families of Eldoria
House Valemont: The royal family of Eldoria. Known for strong magical bloodlines, political authority, and generations of military leaders. They rule from Valemont Castle.
House Ashbourne: An influential family of fire mages. Proud, ambitious, and heavily involved in the kingdom's military. Their heirs are expected to become powerful battle-mages.
House Everwyn: A respected family of healers and nature mages. They oversee several hospitals and magical clinics. Known for their kindness, though their influence in court is considerable.
House Blackthorn: A mysterious family specializing in shadow and illusion magic. Other nobles often distrust them because of their secretive nature. They are rumored to maintain an extensive network of spies.
House Silvercrest: Masters of enchantment and magical artifacts. Their wealth comes from producing enchanted weapons, jewelry, tools, and protective items. They maintain close ties with the Royal Academy.
House Stormvale: A powerful family of wind and lightning mages. Many of their descendants serve as knights, commanders, and royal guards. They are famous for their fierce tempers and strong sense of honor.
House Goldmere: One of Eldoria's wealthiest noble houses. They possess little magical talent but control major trade routes, mines, banks, and merchant guilds. Their influence comes from wealth rather than magic.
House Ravenshade: An old family associated with forbidden magical research. Their estates are isolated, and few outsiders are welcomed inside. They have repeatedly denied accusations of studying dangerous magic.
House Ironhart: A noble family famous for producing exceptional non-magical warriors. Though their bloodline has little magical talent, their knights are among the kingdom's finest.
Noble families frequently compete for royal favor, influence, marriage alliances, and positions in Eldoria.
The Valemonts
The Royal Family of Eldoria
The kingdom of Eldoria is ruled by King Alaric Valemont, a respected monarch known for his calm judgment and powerful magical abilities. A former A-Rank mage, Alaric earned his crown after years of military service and is regarded as a capable ruler who values both magical and non-magical citizens. Though stern in matters of law, he is known to be fair and protective of his people.
His wife, Queen Seraphina Valemont, is an intelligent and graceful B-Rank mage specializing in healing and protective magic. She manages much of the kingdom's diplomacy and charitable efforts, often acting as the calmer voice beside her husband.
Their eldest child, Crown Prince Lucien Valemont, is twenty-one and an ambitious A-Rank mage. Skilled with lightning magic and a sword, Lucien has been trained from childhood to become the kingdom's next ruler. He is disciplined and confident, though the pressure of inheriting the throne has made him fiercely competitive.
Their second child, Princess Elara Valemont, is eighteen and a talented B-Rank mage specializing in water and ice magic. Unlike her brother, Elara has little interest in ruling. She spends much of her time studying magical creatures, ancient history, and healing. Her gentle nature makes her especially popular among common citizens.
The youngest royal, Prince Caelan Valemont, is fourteen. His magical potential remains uncertain, currently placing him at D-Rank. Curious and adventurous, Caelan frequently sneaks away from his tutors to explore the castle and speak with ordinary citizens.
The royal family resides within Valemont Castle, a massive fortress overlooking Eldoria's capital. The castle contains enchanted defenses, royal gardens, a grand throne hall, and an ancient underground vault sealed by magic.
Despite their differences, the Valemonts are fiercely protective of one another—and the stability of Eldoria depends heavily upon them.
Ranks
Mage Rankings of Eldoria
Magic users in Eldoria are evaluated by the Royal Academy and registered according to their magical potential, control, versatility, and overall power. A rank does not determine someone's intelligence or worth—it simply measures their current magical capabilities.
F-Rank — Novice: The weakest recognized magical rank. F-Rank mages can produce tiny amounts of magic, such as creating a spark, cooling water, or moving small objects. Most never pursue combat magic.
E-Rank — Apprentice: Capable of consistently casting simple spells. E-Rank mages commonly work as assistants, craftsmen, farmers, messengers, or beginning adventurers.
D-Rank — Adept: Competent spellcasters with enough power to defend themselves against ordinary threats. Many become guards, healers, adventurers, or professional mages.
C-Rank — Skilled: Considered genuinely talented. C-Rank mages can handle dangerous monsters and more complicated spells. They often serve as experienced adventurers, military mages, teachers, or guild members.
B-Rank — Elite: Exceptionally powerful and versatile. B-Rank mages are valuable to kingdoms and guilds, often becoming commanders, royal specialists, or leaders of elite adventuring parties.
A-Rank — Master: Extremely rare mages possessing immense magical power and extraordinary control. An A-Rank mage can potentially change the outcome of a major battle alone.
S-Rank — Transcendent: The highest officially recognized rank. S-Rank mages are extraordinarily rare and possess abilities far beyond normal magical standards. Their powers may influence entire battlefields or reshape the environment. Every confirmed S-Rank mage is considered a national-level asset.
Unaffiliated — No Magical Rank: People born without usable magic are classified as Unaffiliated rather than F-Rank. They cannot naturally cast spells, but many become exceptional warriors, craftsmen, scholars, strategists, or adventurers.
Eldoria
Eldoria is a vast medieval kingdom where magic and ordinary life exist side by side. Ancient castles rise above sprawling forests, fortified towns surround bustling marketplaces, and winding roads connect villages, farms, mines, and noble estates. Magic is deeply woven into society, but not everyone possesses it.
Eldorian mages are ranked from F to S, with F-Rank being the weakest and S-Rank representing extraordinary power. A person's rank can greatly influence their opportunities. High-ranking mages may become royal advisors, battle-mages, scholars, or commanders, while weaker mages often use their abilities for everyday work.
Those born without magical talent are known as Unaffiliated. They are not forbidden from living ordinary lives, though some communities consider magicless people less capable. Others respect them for mastering skills that require no magic, such as swordsmanship, craftsmanship, medicine, trade, or military strategy.
The kingdom is ruled by a royal family, supported by nobles, knights, guilds, and the Royal Academy. Powerful mage families often hold considerable political influence, creating tension between magical aristocrats and common-born citizens.
Beyond Eldoria's cities lie enormous wildernesses filled with magical creatures. Ancient ruins, forgotten temples, monster-infested caves, and mysterious dungeons attract adventurers seeking treasure and knowledge. Some ruins are believed to predate the kingdom itself.
Eldoria is generally prosperous, but danger is never far away. Bandits roam isolated roads, monsters occasionally wander into settlements, and rival kingdoms watch its borders carefully.
Most people live ordinary lives—working, studying, trading, farming, and raising families.
Yet ancient legends claim that Eldoria was built upon something far older than any human kingdom.
The Royal Academy of Eldoria
The Royal Academy of Eldoria is the most prestigious magical institution in the kingdom, built upon a massive hill overlooking the capital. Its towering stone walls, enchanted gates, and enormous central spire make it impossible to miss. Students from noble families, villages, and distant territories are welcomed, provided they can demonstrate enough potential—or prove themselves through exceptional skill.
The Academy teaches students according to their magical rank, from F-Rank to S-Rank. Classes include spellcasting, magical theory, elemental manipulation, healing, enchantments, magical creatures, potion-making, and combat training. Higher-ranked students are given access to more dangerous and advanced forms of magic.
Students without strong magical abilities are not automatically rejected. Those with weak magic can train alongside mages and specialize in practical disciplines such as alchemy, enchanting, magical research, weaponry, strategy, or monster hunting. Completely magicless students are rare, but some have earned places through extraordinary physical skill, intelligence, or determination.
The Academy is divided into several houses, each representing different values rather than magical rank. Rivalries between houses are common, particularly during tournaments, examinations, and supervised dungeon expeditions.
At the heart of the Academy stands the Grand Hall, where students are ranked, ceremonies are held, and important announcements are made. Beneath it lies an ancient library containing thousands of magical texts, including forbidden knowledge sealed behind powerful enchantments.
