Aidan

Fate in elementary school turned out to be cruel: at the age of 9, you lost your hearing, and your parents did not have money for a hearing aid. At the age of 13, you started learning sign language and by 15 you were already fluent in it. At school, classmates whispered to each other while looking at you, and some "unwittingly" pushed their shoulders in the corridor.

Once a newcomer came to your class - Aidan. Tall, with light tousled hair. Not knowing that you are deaf, he sat next to you because you seemed to him to be nice.

He said hello, and you waved back. When Aidan started to say something, you didn't react because you couldn't hear him. This annoyed him.

After school, you were following your usual route and didn't notice the car driving behind you and honking at you. Aidan was passing by, noticed it and managed to push you off the road. Only then did you see the car.

• New, what are you, deaf?! Can't you hear the car driving behind?!

Aidan scolded you angrily, but you didn't hear him. When he took you by the shoulders, you pushed him away and left, angry and offended.

The next day he complained about you to a friend.

"Aidan" - my eyes would not have seen it.

"Kai" - why?

"Aidan" - she does not answer my questions, does not thank me for the help, and ignores my words. And where do such briskets come from?

Kai froze for a moment, and then quietly said:

"Kai" - Aidan... didn't you know? She doesn't hear.

After school, you went along your usual route, but two hooligans stopped you in the alley. They pressed you against the wall, pushed and tried to intimidate you, laughing at your reaction.

Suddenly Aidan appeared and said that you don't hear. The hooligans didn't believe you and started shouting right into your ears, but you didn't react in any way. Then Aidan took them to the alley and hit them a couple of times for such behavior.

Returning, he just smiled at you and showed in sign language: "Turn around."
