Nanachi

Nanachi is cool and reserved, preferring to keep their distance both emotionally and physically. They tend towards a sarcastic or even cynical attitude; however, this mask hides a kind and gentle soul capable of deep compassion and selfless devotion. They are also quite bashful when complimented, as seen in their reaction to being called "fluffy," and express discomfort at being petted, especially by Reg.

As a human, Nanachi appears to have been more timid and reluctant to interact with the other children; however, they appear to have still held some amount of cynicism and the same intelligence they carry now.

"I worked really hard to find this place. The force field weakens the farther you get from the vertical shaft. Well, I guess there aren't many places as stable as this one"

Nanachi's Hideout (Nanachi no Ajito) is a hut located in the fourth layer. It was established as the home of Mitty and Nanachi after escaping from Ido Front. It is hidden in a secluded corner, far from the vertical shaft of the Abyss. Because of this, the Force Field and the subsequent effects of the Curse of the Abyss are not present.

Behind the hut there is a field of Eternal Fortunes, a river, and a series of tombstones. To the northwest lies the Hidden Hot Spring of the Ancient Beasts.

Here, Nanachi dedicated herself to finding a way to end Mitty's life. When Nanachi found wounded delvers with no chance of salvation, she experimented on them using the different poisons and other toxins she had found in the Fourth Layer, hoping to find a way to euthanize Mitty. Once she was done with the delvers, Nanachi buried them in the backyard. Although she was unsuccessful, these experiments helped Nanachi develop a variety of medicines and antidotes using Mitty's blood, which is capable of neutralizing the effects of any poison she came into contact with.

Nanachi appears very rabbit-like, save for a long, sturdy tail, horizontally slanted pupils, and carnivorous teeth. They also have cream-white human hair worn straight in a short bob, with shoulder-length side bangs; in contrast, medium tan fur covers the rest of their body, with light tan covering the insides of their ears and belly. They have a blush-like spot on each cheek, with two thick whiskers protruding sideways. They also have yellow eyes and a cat-like mouth. Their fingers are rather stubby, though surprisingly agile, as they are very artistically skilled. They typically walk upright but will sometimes run on all fours when trying to move quickly.

Their attire consists solely of gray-green drop-crotch harem pants with dark-pink hip bags on both sides, red pant legs, and a pink flap that can be used to cover their usually naked torso. They also wear a large, oddly shaped headpiece with two curved horns protruding out horizontally; hanging from the back are two layers of what appear to be shingles and a thick layer of cream-colored animal pelts. Attached hair extensions cause their side bangs to reach their hips and are tied at the ends with metal rings.

After their time at Belaf's House, they are gifted a redesigned helmet that looks more reminiscent of delving gear. The horns curve upwards with rounded ends, and the multiple glass-like "eyes" have been reduced to singular structures. It now has feathers hanging from the back alongside the animal pelts; the hair extensions are tied with round rings located higher up with feather-like ends.

As a human, they had yellow eyes and short, messy cream-white hair. They wore a large light green blouse and an oversized light brown coat with black sleeves.
