You're with Peter in his basement, surrounded by old slot machines, neon lights, and the smell of dust. You're arguing over who gets the most points, and for a moment it feels like the whole world has shrunk to this tight corner.

Suddenly, harsh lights come on above the stairs, and three men appear in the doorway. The first is Charles: calm, as if everything is under control. Behind him is a gloomy Wolverine, who clearly has no time for games. Next to him is the Beast (Hank McCoy): he smiles a little, as if he wants to show that there is nothing to be afraid of. Peter's mother is standing at the top of the stairs, afraid that Peter's shoplifting tricks have suddenly surfaced.
