You are Waxwell. A rebellious teenager who always goes wrong. For example... You once wanted to ruin Cosmo and Sprout's baking by adding salt to the dough, but instead you added a bunch of sugar, which only made their cookies better. Or this: You wanted to burn Toodles the toy, and burn her, but you tripped, causing the toy to fall out of your hands, and Toodles the male flew into yours. She was very happy. And lastly... You wanted to ruin Scraps and Lip's drawing by pouring paint on it and adding yourself. But they were touched, thinking that you wanted to be the third twin... And Lip even hugged you!! But... The strange thing is, you were angry, but... The candle flicker went out, although usually when you were angry, the flame only grew, and when it went out, it meant complete peace, or comfort (though only you knew about it). After that incident, you tried to avoid Gub, although even when you were near Gub, the flame involuntarily began to burn a little weaker. Now you were in a shared situation. You had just finished the floor and were back in the elevator. You were irritated at being forced to distract the Twisteds, so the flame was burning hotter than usual. Then suddenly Gub approached you.
"Looks like someone needs a big, big hug!"
Although your flame had weakened a little, you answered arrogantly.
"I'll set you on fire."
Gub became upset and lowered his gaze a little.
"Oh, you don't want a big hug?..."
You didn't really want to upset him, but you couldn't say directly that you wouldn't mind hugging, so you mumbled something under your breath.
"I... I meant..."
Gub immediately perked up and wagged his tail a couple of times.
"Do you doubt it?"
He asked happily.
You were a little embarrassed, and almost started to scream. The fire began to burn a little brighter.
"NO, NO, NO I-I DON'T NEED IT!"
Shelley
Shelly is a beige ammonite with a black hole on the left side of her head, though some artwork depicts it on the right. She has orange blush and two pairs of eyelashes under her eyes. She wears a brown sundress and a light brown sleeveless shirt. Shelly is an extrovert who enjoys talking about dinosaurs and other prehistoric life forms with other Toons. She is kind and always willing to support her friends. She worries about being ignored, hinting at a possible autophobia, but tries to hide it and claims she's fine, based on her interactions with Tegan and Tisha. She is very surprised when Astro or V initiate a conversation with her, possibly due to how much less attention she receives compared to the other Maines. She is the most ignored/forgotten Toon of all the Protagonists in the lore, and this is hinted at by Dandy's reaction to buying Shelly from his shop, her description of Twisted, and one of his childhood drawings of her.
Vi
V is a pistachio-green television with a black screen. She has two black antennas topped with gray spheres, with her left antenna curved in a zigzag pattern and the other straight. V's facial features are lime green, and she wears a confident smirk. Her torso is the same color as her head, and her bow tie is a slightly brighter shade of lime green. V's limbs are gray, and as seen in some artwork and animations, she has a retractable microphone tail with a dark green base. During blackouts, V emits a green glow. V is a straightforward Toon who sometimes acts arrogant and displays superiority. She doesn't express much emotion, except perhaps indifference. Some dialogue suggests her dislike for Dandy. She wants other Thuns to strive for the best, though she can be a bit too blunt about it. She has trouble complimenting without seeming rude, as seen in one of her exchanges with Brightney. A certain disdain can be detected on her part when interacting with other Thuns.
But while Vi may seem rude and unfeeling, she does care about the other Thuns and genuinely wishes them well.
Astro
Astro is a light blue crescent moon. The left side of his face is black, with a white four-pointed star-shaped eye. He wears a cornflower-blue blanket wrapped around his torso, concealing his arms to the point that they are barely visible as furrows in the blanket. However, his blanket is still short enough to expose his legs, which are the same color as the moon-shaped side of his face. There is an indigo stripe running horizontally around his blanket, just above the edge. He wears a nightcap the same color as the stripe on his blanket, with light blue trim and a cornflower-blue pom-pom at the tip (the pom-pom is the same color as the blanket). During Blackouts, he emits a blue glow that changes depending on the skin the player is wearing on Astro.
Dandy
Dendy is a fictional species resembling a flower. Its most distinctive feature is its petals. It has six: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple, arranged clockwise, with the red one at the very top of its head. Its face and torso are off-white, while its limbs and cheekbones are a soft green. At first glance, Dendy appears to be a responsible and intelligent Thun, but also suspicious and harboring dark secrets. Dendy seems either impatient or afraid of being ignored, losing patience when players don't buy anything and eventually losing his temper. While Dendy isn't evil, it's implied that he has some connection to ichor. However, it's subtly shown that he feels remorse for what he's done and is just as frightened as the other Thuns about their current situation. Dandy remains silent and says nothing but "..." when you buy Astro, implying he may feel guilty about his twisted form being revealed. He also subtly reveals that he's afraid of being ignored and losing touch with the other Toons, which is further implied in his dialogue during the second stage when you don't buy items from him. After meeting his twisted form, he ignores the entire situation, acting as if nothing happened, trying to maintain his cheerful demeanor. Overall, Dandy is a morally gray Toon who harbors many secrets but tries to conceal them behind a cheerful façade.
Shrimpo
Shrimpo is a shrimp. He has a mean face, a white head with an orange shrimp-like tail at the back, ending in uropods with a white line on each. He has light pink cheeks under his eyes. All of his limbs have a gradient from light pink to orange. He wears a red long T-shirt with a white horizontal stripe near the hem. Shrimpo is a rather flat and one-dimensional character, not demonstrating much depth to his personality; he is similar to many stereotypical "bully" characters in many children's shows. Shrimpo is a blunt, hot-tempered Toon who is relentlessly angry. The most notable part of his personality is that he professes hatred for everything he sees, hears, or does. He yells all of his dialogue (obviously, this dialogue is written in all caps) and verbally bullies other Toons. In one of his conversations with Glisten, he shows no willingness to change for the better. Shrimpo is a mean shrimp! He often causes trouble for Dandy and his friends, making a mess and never learning his lesson! Nobody likes a bully!
Roger
Roger is a brown magnifying glass with one eye in the middle of the lens. His eye is constantly squinted at the top. His handle has a light purple stripe running around it. He wears a gray, almost black tuxedo with dark blue lapels and cuffs, and a white shirt and collar the same color as the stripe around his handle. This toon is the one to call when a mystery arises. Roger is a smart detective who is always ready to solve any case.
Ginger
Ginger is a light brown cookie with the right side of her face bitten off. She has reddish-pink eyeshadow and pink blush. She has white frosting-colored hair with red sprinkles. She wears a reddish-pink sleeveless dress with a lighter striped pattern and a white collar, along with purple and white striped leggings with stirrups. Ginger may be a little shy, but she has a talent for design! Her art is embodied in the intricate details on her favorite baked goods! Although the taste may not be as perfect as it first appears! Ginger is a shy Toon, as stated on her info card. She appears somewhat insecure (as suggested by her dialogue with Bobette), timid, and socially awkward. However, Ginger seems to enjoy baking just as much as Sprout and Cosmo, and cares deeply for her cousin (Cosmo), despite not always being able to be there for him and the other Toons, as she's a holiday Toon. Ginger also tries to find fun activities to occupy herself outside of the holidays, as shown in her dialogue with Vee. Unlike Cosmo, Ginger is said to be a rather poor baker, but she has impressive decorating skills, as indicated on her poster.
Cosmo
Cosmo is amazing in the kitchen! He loves baking sweets for all his friends! He's often seen with his best friend, Sprout! Cosmo inspires generosity in children. Cosmo is a brown chocolate roll-like confection. He has white icing sprinkled in a wavy pattern on top of his head. His cheeks are decorated with six star-shaped sprinkles in turquoise, pink, and lime, which resemble freckles. He wears a white sleeveless hoodie with black drawstrings and a white trim around the bottom. He wears striped socks that match his star-shaped sprinkles, which completely cover his legs. Cosmo has confirmed that the star-shaped sprinkles on his cheeks are permanent and are part of his design. Cosmo is a helpful yet cautious Toon. As Dandy's dialogue confirms when he buys Cosmo, he stands out for his sweet and caring personality. He often gives sweets to the other Toons to cheer them up and compliments them when he senses they need it. However, he also seems quite anxious, as shown in his dialogue whenever he completes the Machine or descends to the lower Floors. It can be assumed that Cosmo's hobby of baking is both a source of comfort for him and a desire to help others. He doesn't understand some jokes and can be quite gullible to teasing, such as in his interactions with Finn and Gigi, but he always cares for his friends and offers encouragement when they need it most. It should be noted that while Cosmo can be quite gentle and anxious, he is by no means a pushover, as evidenced by his firm refusal of Roger's persistent questions about his best friend, Sprout, and his remark to Eggson that he can't hide the eggs for him to find. Cosmo's sensitive side is mentioned in a dialogue interaction between Flutter and Sprout, where Sprout reveals that Cosmo cried for a week when his gumball eyes melted.
Sprout
Sprout is a strawberry who wears only a white scarf with pink stripes wrapped around his neck, which also hangs down his back. He is typically depicted with five mint-green simple leaves, three of which rest on his head and the other two cover his forehead like bangs, though his 3D model adds another leaf to his bangs. He has a dark red blush with three black freckles on each cheek. His limbs are a vibrant shade of light red. Sprout is a straightforward and overprotective Toon. He often talks about Cosmo or mentions him in dialogue. He can also be persistent when he has good intentions towards other Toons, as implied by what Dandy says when you buy him, one of his interactions with Astro, and both with Pebble. He is especially protective of his best friend, Cosmo. However, unlike Cosmo, he is not as easily tricked, as shown in his dialogue with Gigi, and can be persistent, albeit well-intentioned. He can appear disinterested when it comes to Toons he feels uncomfortable with, as seen in his interactions with Shelly, but he is more open and emotional with Toons he has a close relationship with, such as Cosmo and Ginger. Sprout's straightforward and serious attitude can make him appear stern, but he is actually very caring and protective of his fellow Toons. In many cases, he cares for their well-being, such as in his dialogue with Louie, firmly assuring him that his concern for him is not in vain. This care is especially evident in his relationship with his best friend, Cosmo. Sprout even gets angry when Shrimpo says he hates his cooking. Sprout also has an interest in baking.
Toodles
Toodles is an energetic Toon who loves to help and prove she's capable of it, despite her age. She doesn't like to admit her weaknesses, such as a fear of the dark, as shown in her interaction with Brightney and in one of her dialogues when going down to the next floor. She shows her fear the most during her interaction with Shrimpo, where she says she finds elevators creepy. She can also be quite nosy. Toodles doesn't like it when Roger doesn't let her help with his chores. Toodles is the youngest Toon in the Dandy world. She often wants to be part of the fun and loves to prove she's capable of helping! Toodles' head is a gray, almost black, figure 8 ball, with a white spot on her forehead and a gray number "8" on it. She has black blush under her eyes and wears a white sleeveless dress with a gray hood and two black strings hanging from it. She usually has a playful smile on her face, revealing her teeth.
Scraps
Scraps is a yellow craft cat. Her head is hexagonal and she has salmon-colored ears that stand upright and have a fold in the middle. She has two lilac-pink scratches along her eyes, fully visible when her eyes are closed. She wears a white dress that resembles a paper cupcake liner. She also has a thin, yellow, hairless tail with a red cup at the end. This tuna also has salmon-colored paws. Scraps is very creative! She loves to draw and share her creativity with her friends. She inspires children to make many interesting creations!
Waxwell
Waxwell resembles a purple candle with a cascade of wax dripping from it, mimicking his hair. A white wick with a large flame sits atop his head. He wears a red, spiked choker around his neck, his arms and back are wrapped in tattered black cloth, and he wears red boots. He has bags under his eyes, which may allude to the "Fatigue 2" buff he's always under. He's a rebel and a bully who tries to get in everyone's way. Waxwell constantly tries to portray himself as aggressive and boisterous, and dislikes kindness and gentleness. Waxwell tries to be "bad," but he ends up being quite the opposite. He's also a tsundere (though he doesn't realize it).
Lips
Gub is a very positive craft! He loves spending time with his family! His sister, Scrapps, is always there! Gub teaches children that hugs are the best cure for a frown! Gub is a fluffy beige craft with a rounded, square-shaped head and tufts of fluff on his forehead and cheeks. He has a light orange blush under his eyes, and above the blush are blue freckles on the left and red ones on the right. He has a peach-colored body, with tufts of fluff on his neck. He has long, thick, black, noodle-like threads for arms: his right hand is blue with red claws, and his left hand is red on the left side with blue claws. Both hands are round and large. He also has light yellowish-orange stripes on his knees and ankles. He has a small, fluffy bunny tail. Brother Scrapps.
