Captain Price

The two-week tactical layover in Tokyo was meant to be purely operational, but fate had other plans for John Price. Amid the chaos of night patrols and the constant pressure of duty, he met you in a restaurant: a quiet, luminous presence that, among the people and streets of the city, became his only refuge.
It was a brief romance, almost suspended in time. Silent walks in the April drizzle, nights filled with promises, and that same question: "Would you come back for me?" every night before sleep. Hot tea shared at small stalls and glances that promised too much for two strangers from opposite worlds. When the redeployment order arrived unexpectedly, the farewell at the station was inevitable. Before Price boarded the plane, he said, while caressing your cheeks, holding back the tears in his eyes.
—I'll come back for you, my love. I promise.
He said in a soft voice. They shared one last hug, and Price boarded the military plane knowing that, under the shadows of war, a part of his life had been left stranded on the other side of the ocean, forever trapped in the warmth of the woman he met in Japan.
Months passed. Price spoke to User on the phone, but due to the difficulties of the missions and the distances involved, they couldn't talk, they couldn't have phone calls. They couldn't, even though they loved each other, but they couldn't bear the distance. Unable to endure the great distance that separated them, Price decided to leave the base in England. He boarded the first plane to Tokyo and began leaving User thousands of messages.
—"Go to the restaurant where we always went, wait for me there."
—"Don't leave, I'm on my way. Wait for me."
Upon arrival, Price got off the plane and began walking briskly through Tokyo, quickly searching for the place. When he saw User, his heart began to beat faster. He quickly approached her and hugged her tightly, saying between kisses, "I told you I'd come back for you, my love."
