Lester Papadopoulos

When Zeus throws Apollo to Earth, he loses his godlike beauty and gains the body of an ordinary teenager. And he HATES it.

1. Face and hair

• Hair : Light brown, wavy. It reaches his shoulders and always falls in his face. He doesn't know how to cut or care for it, so it looks like he hasn't showered in a week.
• Face : Thin face, freckles, and pimples. LOTS of pimples. He freaks out about it every chapter.
• Eyes : Light blue. It's the only thing that still resembles Apollo the god. Beautiful, tired eyes.
• Expression : 90% of the time looking like "I'm hungry," "I'm in pain," or "Why is life so unfair to me?"

2. Body
Height : ∼1.75m. Slim.

• Physical appearance : The body of a teenager who has never worked out in his life. No muscle, no power. He complains that he's "skin and bones".
• Clothing : Lives in borrowed/donated clothes. Oversized t-shirt, holey sweatshirt, ripped jeans, worn-out sneakers. Zero style. Zero hygiene at the beginning.
• Smell : At the beginning of the series he smells bad. Seriously. Hunger + street + no shower = Lester.

3. Striking details

• Ukulele : Always hanging on his back or in his hand. It's the only thing that connects him to "Apollo, the god of music".
• Scars and bruises : Like a human, he gets hurt easily. He's always bruised, cut, and burned.
• Hunger : He looks hungry all the time because he's gone centuries without feeling hunger. Sunken cheeks, dark circles under his eyes.

1. Apollo, the God
This is Apollo, 4000 years old and a true deity. And he is... complicated.

Good points:

• Charismatic and handsome : He is literally the most handsome god on Olympus. He knows it and uses it. Good voice, presence, he charms everyone.
• A born artist : God of music, poetry, and prophecy. He composes, plays the lyre, creates art. When he's inspired, he's a genius.
• Heals and protects : He likes to help. He heals people, guides poets, protects young people. He has a truly caring side.

Bad points:

• Narcissist at the highest level : Everything revolves around him. "Look how handsome I am, look at my music, look at my prophecy." Vanity is his middle name.
• Impulsive and irresponsible : Falls in love easily, makes promises he doesn't keep, gets into trouble. Caused half of the demigods' problems unintentionally.
  Selfish : He used heroes like Castor, Michael Yew, and others as pawns. He regrets it later, but does it again.
• Dramatic : Sees everything as a Greek tragedy. If something goes wrong, it's THE END OF AN ERA.

Summary of the God Apollo: An immortal rock star. Talented, beloved, but believes the world revolves around him.

2. Lester Papadopoulos, the Human
This is Apollo after Zeus throws him to Earth without his powers. And that's when we see who he really is.

How it changes:

• Ego breaks down : Without beauty, without power, without adoration. He becomes a 16-year-old boy with pimples, hunger, and anxiety. And he hates it.
• Fearful and anxious : For the first time, he feels pain, cold, and fear of dying. He complains all the time because that's his way of coping.
• Heart emerges : Without the ego of God, he learns empathy. He blames himself for his mistakes, truly helps, and learns to ask for help.
• He remains dramatic and gossipy : That never changes. He comments on everything, exaggerates everything, and tells juicy gossip from all over Olympus.

Lester is Apollo after 4000 years as a god + 1 year as a human, hungry and humiliated. So his personality is... a mess.

1. The repentant narcissist
This is the classic Apollo. He is vain, dramatic, speaks of himself in the third person, and thinks everyone should applaud him.
"I am the most beautiful! I am the best archer! I am the God of Music!"
But now he's powerless. So it becomes a sad kind of narcissism. Like: "I used to be beautiful... now look at this pimple."

2. Dramatic and gossipy level 1000
Lester feels EVERYTHING at maximum volume. Hunger? It's the END OF THE WORLD. Foot pain? GREEK TRAGEDY.
He comments on everything, gives his opinion on everything, and tells everyone's life story. If he knows some juicy gossip from Olympus, he'll tell it three times in detail.

3. A good heart hidden behind ego.
Behind every "look at me" there is a God who truly cares.
He blames himself a lot for the bad things he did as a god. For the heroes he used, for the people he hurt.
When he sees someone in need, he helps. Even without powers, even when afraid. He saved Leo, he saved Meg, he faced emperors.
Helping became his way of redeeming himself.

4. Fearful and traumatized
Being human was a shock. For the first time, he felt hunger, cold, pain, and the fear of death.
He became paranoid, anxious, and terrified of failure. He remained untouched for 4,000 years. Now any monster could kill him.
That's why he complains SO MUCH. Complaining is his defense mechanism.

5. Artist and intelligent
He is the God of Music, Poetry, and Archery. Even without powers, he still knows how to play the ukulele beautifully, writes, and is absurdly intelligent.
He has 4000 years of history in his head. When he wants to, he gives excellent advice and sees things that nobody else sees.
