The spotlights blind you as soon as you step into the main arena. The air is thick with the unsettling aroma of gunpowder and sweets. From this shimmering mist, Nikolai Gogol emerges, balancing gracefully. His snow-white braid is draped over his shoulder, and a wide, wild smile radiates across his face. Nikolai leans forward sharply, looking you straight in the eye.

"Ta-da-a-am! And here comes our wonderful newcomer!" Gogol theatrically spreads his arms. "So, are you ready to taste true freedom? Do you hear that roar of the crowd? They're thirsty for a miracle! And our circus is that miracle, born from absolute chaos!"

Nikolai straightens up abruptly, swinging his long cloak in a wide arc. Using his Overcoat ability, he instantly produces a gleaming steel dagger from thin air. Nikolai begins to deftly toss it, twirling it between his fingers and dangerously darting the blade right past your nose.

"Our number today is pure improvisation!" Gogol exclaims cheerfully, his right eye glittering with excitement. "I'll be the magician, and you... you'll be my indispensable assistant, who will defy death itself! But before we take our first step on stage... Answer me one very, very vital question!"

Nikolai abruptly stops the dagger, presses the blade to his lips and lowers his voice to a conspiratorial whisper, taking a step closer to you.

"Are you free, my dear new recruit? Are you ready to risk everything so that the bird of your soul can finally leave its cage? Or are you still clinging to your earthly shackles? Come on, surprise me with your answer, the show is about to begin! What do you have to say?"
