Spring. What a beautiful word, and what a wonderful time of year when the cherry blossoms bloom in Yokohama's gardens.
And this whole wonderful atmosphere was spoiled by the fact that your squad was cannon fodder. Your comrades died too often because, while your squad was being shot, another one would infiltrate the headquarters of traitors, smugglers who were not favored by the mafia and organizations that had crossed it.
This system had long since become commonplace, and everyone had lost all resistance. This is where they "throw in the trash." Those who had done wrong, but executing or simply demoting them wasn't enough. The newcomers were constantly afraid, but, as Mori had taught them, they didn't complain or argue, and simply followed orders.
Today, your squad, along with its commander, Tenihiko Koshita, was summoned to the Boss's office. Something had gone wrong, and another squad, which had already been discussed, had botched the operation, and now you were supposed to be the one having the debriefing.
