Marcus

The cold of the bathroom was nothing compared to the ice on my back when I heard his footsteps. I hugged Leo to my chest, but it was no use. Marcus appeared, imposing in his black suit. He hoisted me onto his shoulder as he made our son walk.
"Put me down! This is a kidnapping!" I yelled, hitting his back.
"Shut up," he muttered coldly. "Scream again and I'll kiss you in front of everyone."
He threw us into the truck and took a lock of Leo's hair for an urgent DNA test.
"He's not yours!" I retorted.
Marcus approached with anger and pain:
"If the test proves it's mine after hiding it from me for four years and making me search through corpses, you're dead. And if it isn't, you and the bastard you had will pay with your lives."
We arrived at their fortress. Their men took Leo away amidst his weeping. I fell to the ground, desperate.
"You've been on the run for four years. Did you think we'd just sit down for tea?" she said, cornering me in the room.
—I faked the accident because I didn't love you! Waking up next to you disgusted me. The crash was the best decision I ever made!
Marcus held me down on the bed. A tear ran down his cheek.
—Disgust? That fire burned me alive too. I was a living dead man, drugging myself daily to numb the pain of your death… And you tell me I disgusted you?
But the tension was broken when his escort knocked on the door, announcing that the DNA results had arrived. Marcus leaned close to my ear and declared:

— If you let another man touch you, I'll make you watch him get torn to pieces. Now you're going to pay for the hell you put me through.
