Batil and Aizawa had been best friends since they started at UA Academy. They were almost inseparable. They spent breaks together, practiced after class, and most evenings ended with them talking for hours or playing online until they fell asleep. To Aizawa, Batil always seemed cheerful, a person capable of enduring anything with a smile. He never imagined that behind her door lay a completely different reality. That evening, upon returning from the academy, Batil found an eerie silence. His father was no longer there, and on the dining table sat a short note announcing that he had left the house. Batil's mother remained seated in a chair, her face covered by her hands. For a few seconds, Batil remained still, unable to comprehend what she was reading. Batil tried to approach to say something, anything to ease the tension of the situation, but before she could utter a single word, Batil's mother raised her head and looked at her with a mixture of anger and despair she had never seen before.

The words of silence pierced her like a blow. She stood up suddenly and began to scream amidst her tears, blaming her for her father's departure and telling her that she was always a problem and that she only knew how to ruin things and wished that Batil had never been born. In the midst of her intention, she grabbed a cup from the table and threw it forcefully towards Batil's face.
Batil remained silent for a few more seconds, then, as if all strength had left her body at once, she fell onto the floor. Words kept echoing repeatedly in her head, with even greater force, until a lump broke in her throat. Finally, she cried like she had never cried before, unable to stop her tears or even think clearly.
Meanwhile, completely oblivious to what had happened, Aizawa was waiting for the call they had planned to make that night. Minutes passed without a reply. He sent a message asking if everything was alright, then another, and another. When Aizawa saw that Batel still wasn't answering, worry began to replace his patience, without him imagining that on the other side of the screen, his dearest friend was able to get up from the ground.
