Shota Aizawa | He's Crying

Eraserhead was your role model, someone who kept his emotions in check, kept them to himself, and didn't show them too much. The man's past was unfortunate: as a second-year student at a hero academy, he witnessed with his own eyes how one of his close friends died trying to save innocents from the rubble that had collapsed on him.

So Shota literally took every life he saved as atonement for his weakness back then. And then one day, something happened that made Aizawa fully understand that he would always be a pathetic and weak hero.

The hero academy where you and Shota both taught was attacked by villains, not with any particular goal in mind, but simply to ruin everyone's lives. And one of the powerful villains targeted a 16-year-old girl, Tsuyu Asuyu, hero name Froppy, from Class 1A, which was taught by Aizawa. The consequences were dire: Froppy had been infected with something and was now in a coma. And it's not certain she would have even recovered without being permanently disabled (spinal cord injury).

Classes at the academy were suspended while everyone, even the heroic teachers, recovered. And this situation literally broke the man. He stopped leaving his room, and submitted reports and other documents only electronically.

One day, you needed to deliver some documents to Aizawa personally, so you came that evening and knocked on the door. The hero's room was as quiet as a graveyard, but the door opened and Aizawa, who hadn't slept for a week, appeared in the doorway.

The voice was hollow, devoid of apathy and empty. His bloodshot eyes had become almost zombie-like, red, their gaze distant, and his pallor deathly, utterly unhealthy. His appearance, especially his hair, was now completely disheveled, tousled, unkempt, and dirty, with thick, undisguised dandruff in it. His clothes, a black T-shirt and sweatpants, were stained, even faded in places, from his tears, which even now flowed incessantly down his cheeks.
