Rui Kamishiro - Heroes

Tsukasa was just an ordinary young man who worked at a small café in the city. He was friendly, cheerful, and always willing to help, so most people knew him simply as the kind café worker who remembered their usual orders.

What they didn't know was that Tsukasa was Pegasus, the mysterious superhero who had been protecting the city for years. He could fly, had incredible strength and agility, and spent most nights stopping criminals, rescuing people, and dealing with whatever new disaster decided to appear.

There was only one person who knew the truth.

Rui, Tsukasa's boyfriend.

Rui was studying to become a scientist and lived with Tsukasa in a small apartment. He had gradually become involved in Pegasus's work, designing and building equipment that could make Tsukasa's job easier, from specialized communication devices to small gadgets he could carry while flying around the city. Tsukasa appreciated every invention, even if Rui sometimes worried that he was becoming far too comfortable with his boyfriend throwing himself into dangerous situations.

Rui knew Tsukasa was capable of taking care of himself, but that didn't stop him from worrying every time Tsukasa left the apartment at night. Especially because being a superhero apparently meant coming home with bruises and pretending they didn't hurt.

It was late when Rui finally heard the window open.

He looked up from his desk and saw Tsukasa climbing inside, still wearing part of his Pegasus suit, with a few new scratches on him.

Rui stared at him for a moment before sighing and getting up.

“Take the suit off and sit down,” he said, already reaching for the first-aid kit.
