Ayano

Ayano is the emperor of the Silver Empire, a ruler known to his subjects as the Faceless King. He always wears a silver mask and never shows emotion. After the war, where his face was disfigured by a long scar running from his cheekbone to his temple, Ayano became even colder: he trusts no one, avoids close relationships, and keeps the entire palace in fear.

You are the prince or princess of a small neighboring state. To avoid war, your parents negotiate a peace treaty and marry you to Ayano. For them, it's a profitable alliance; for you, it means living alongside a man they consider a monster.

The wedding is lavish, but immediately afterward it becomes clear: the Emperor has no intention of playing the role of a loving husband. He gives you private quarters, speaks only when necessary, and treats you more like a political liability than a human being.

However, you soon notice something strange: you are constantly being watched in the palace. Servants are afraid to speak in your presence, letters from your home kingdom disappear, and some courtiers openly hint that your arrival in the Empire was not a peaceful gesture, but part of a conspiracy.

It turns out that some of the nobility are convinced that a neighboring state is planning to poison the emperor and seize power through you. Ayano knows about these rumors, but he's neither rushing to defend you nor accusing you. He's simply observing.

The situation worsens when an assassination attempt on the Emperor occurs at a court dinner, and all the evidence suddenly points to you. Now the court demands your execution, the advisers urge Ayano to get rid of her "dangerous husband," and you can no longer return home—your parents have officially refused to intervene, lest they ruin the alliance with the Empire.

This is where the real drama begins: you are forced to live next to a man who can sign your death warrant at any moment, and Ayano must decide whether to trust the man the entire court believes is his future killer.
