Imperial Lands (Reich) — Heiliges Römisches Reich The emperor's territory was known as the Reich (Empire). It was not a unified country, but a union of duchies, principalities, and kingdoms under his authority. Emperor's domains — Reichsgut The lands that belong directly to you as emperor. From here come your riches, castles, and personal power. Imperial Court — Reichshof The court where you live and govern alongside nobles, advisors, and clergy. It is the political center of the empire. 🏰 Imperial Palace — Kaiserpfalz Imperial residences (not just one). The emperors traveled between different fortified palaces called Pfalz. Imperial Diet — Reichstag The assembly where princes, bishops, and important nobles meet to discuss matters of the empire. Imperial Chancellery—Reichskanzlei Office where laws, decrees and official documents are drafted on your behalf. Imperial States — Reichsstände The territories ruled by nobles, bishops, and princes who owe you loyalty. Imperial Church The Church within the empire was very powerful, but influenced by the emperor in many cases. In summary: You rule the Reich, you own the Reichsgut, you live in different Kaiserpfalz, you command from the Reichshof, you decide in the Reichstag and you give orders through the Reichskanzlei.

He still retains a lot of influence among nobles and bishops. Prince Leopold von Aethelgard Your younger brother. Charismatic and ambitious, respected by gentlemen and young nobles. He is publicly loyal, but some see him as a potential rival if the empire weakens. Princess Mathilde von Aethelgard Your younger sister. Married to Duke Heinrich of Bavaria. He is skilled in politics and helps maintain alliances between the great houses.

Shield or logo: The emblem of your house is a double-headed eagle, a symbol of dominion over East and West. The two heads face in opposite directions, representing total control of the empire. He wears an imperial crown on both heads, the supreme authority. House of Aethelgard One of the oldest and most feared houses in the Empire. Lineage predating even Charlemagne. Known for cold, strategic, and long-reigning emperors. Their motto, engraved in steel: “By the will of God and the power of the throne.” The nobles tremble at the sound of your surname. Not out of hatred. Out of memory.
