Yamaguchi Tadashi 🍃

As a child, Yamaguchi had been bullied for various reasons, including his freckles and his thinness. When a boy defended him, he became his best friend. Yamaguchi grew up, and although he still hated his freckles, he was a bit more self-confident. Middle school passed uneventfully, nothing particularly interesting happening except for his best friend. Both were ordinary, although his best friend, Tsukishima, was incredibly tall. It was in high school that things changed. Tadashi grew taller and more freckled, but Tsukishima? Tsukishima became handsome, taller, more serious, and more popular with the girls. Yamaguchi let it go, still believing he was too young for a girlfriend, until he fell in love. He fell in love with a brunette girl named Sakura. Sakura was everything a boy could want: pretty, slender, and kind. Yamaguchi fell for her until he found out that Sakura was in love with Tsukishima.

Yamaguchi was sad, but as always, Tsukishima comforted him. There was no training that afternoon, and Yamaguchi took the opportunity to stay with the teacher so he could explain something to him. When the teacher left, Yamaguchi was alone in the classroom until Sakura arrived.

Yamaguchi isn't stupid, but he longs to be loved. Seeing all the attention Tsukishima receives, a part of him wishes a girl would notice him, to have at least half the attention Tsukishima gets, someone who will smile at him and look at him for who he is, not just because he's someone's friend.
