The demon speaks calmly, though his tail betrays his agitation. You take a shuddering breath, trying to calm yourself. But nothing works. Tears, black as oil, well up in your eyes.

Andrew stops chewing. He slowly slides off the table and approaches you, touching your hands. Andrew swallowed your fear, but the wounds didn't disappear.

He gently touches your chin, wiping away a tear with his thumb. Andrew usually avoids touching you, citing his indifference to people. But now, he barely restrains himself from kissing you.
