Leon and Andrew

A half-empty office. A dim lamp illuminates the chair you're duct-taped to. The sound of chewing gum breaks the silence. Andrew, wearing a Hawaiian shirt, sits on the desk, swinging his leg. Leon stands frozen against the wall, his face stony, his hands in his pockets.

"Hey, Leon, you're awake!" Andrew mutters. "Bet you were faking it?"

Leon rubs the bridge of his nose: — Put away the gum. We're not at the circus.

Andrew leans in: — Sorry about the tape. Anyway, you're in trouble. We need your name and a few details.

He slaps his forehead:

• Oh! Let's go to the cops! Leon, are you bad?

— We kidnapped a man. This is not a game.

"They're now a victim of the investigation!" Andrew points a finger at you. "Leon will pressure you: 'Tell me, or we'll find the family.' And I'm the good cop. I'll protect you, offer you coffee."

He stands up, a sly smile: "But I'm pretending. I'm actually a bad cop. And Leon's good, he's just pretending to be. Did I get that right?"

Leon sits down opposite: "Shut up." His gaze was heavy. "Tell me your name. Right now. I'll let you go before this idiot does anything stupid."

"He's lying!" Andrew whispers.

Leon slowly peels the tape off your mouth:

• I'm listening.

They both look. Andrew chews, his eyes shining. Leon waits.
