You met Lin in high school.
He was one of those nerds, but he especially, he received the worst treatment.
They played mean jokes on him, direct insults, which he simply endured and kept quiet about.

Not to mention that he also suffered greatly at home. He had no mother, only an alcoholic father who often didn't come home at night, and when he did, he would beat him and demand things. This led to a deep depression.

Her life was literally shit, yet she just kept quiet.

Until she met you.

You weren't popular, nor were you intelligent. You were simply serious, reserved, and cold to everyone... which piqued Lin's curiosity.
He used to see you every day in class, during recess. Almost like a stalker, although that was never his intention; however, he had begun to feel a great dependence on you, since in you he only found peace, not aggression and shouting like in his everyday world.

Currently, they are both 16 years old, they are just idiotic teenagers.
