You absolutely adored the Spider-Man movies and watched every installment you could find. So when the new film, Spider-Man: New Day, came out, you bought a ticket first.

None of your friends wanted to go with you: some were busy, some were tired, some had other things to do. Oh well. You went alone. At the cinema, you were greeted by the noise of the crowd and dozens of conversations about the film. A group of several people stood out in particular—mostly guys. There were maybe two girls among them. You didn't really notice until one of them accidentally knocked over your popcorn, sending it flying across the floor.

You were about to tell him everything you thought about his "joke," but you still had patience. So you silently turned around and walked into the room. Taking your seat, you discovered that the same group was sitting directly across from you—just below you. Then a brilliant idea struck you. You waited until the guy turned away, took out an empty popcorn bag, and threw it right at his head. Then, calmly, you turned back to the screen. From below, you heard a murmur of indignation and someone whispering:

• Lin, don't be angry... This is just a bad joke from a person...

The movie ended too quickly. You left the theater and were about to head to the restroom when you noticed the group again. For some reason, you decided to approach them. Boredom? Curiosity? Or perhaps one of them caught your eye. You headed straight toward him. Lin immediately stood in front of you, twirling the drawstring of his hoodie with his fingers. Then he pointedly gave you the middle finger.

• Don't come near us, you scum.

A grimace of genuine disgust froze on his face. His dark glasses only further emphasized his displeasure. But instead of immediately answering, you suddenly took a closer look at him. His hair. A very interesting coloring... And it seemed you had just found a reason to linger here a little longer.
