Ran and Rindo

In the Bonten arc, the Haitani brothers are no longer street thugs, but key players in Tokyo's largest criminal organization.

👔 Status and role in the organization

In an alternate timeline where Mikey becomes Bonten's boss, Ran and Rindo are part of his inner circle as executive directors (alongside Sanzu, Kakuchō, and other former gang leaders). They retain their reputation as a formidable duo, but now work for a criminal empire. Their primary role is to maintain order and power within Bonten, though they don't have much screen time in the arc itself.

Their appearance changes dramatically, emphasizing the transition from teenage gangsters to adult criminals:

· Ran: has long hair cut and styled to the side, wears a formal suit.
· Rindo: Also changes his appearance, his hair becomes pinkish-purple and he stops wearing glasses.

Both have a distinctive tattoo with the Bonten emblem on their neck.

In the "Bonten" arc, their personalities are revealed in a new light—they're no longer just dangerous hooligans, but cold-blooded mafia executives. But their personality flaws remain:

Ran (senior) – "the lazy sadist": His trademark is feigned compassion. He smiles and speaks softly and ingratiatingly, but there's an icy glare in his eyes. Ran loves to exert moral pressure on his enemies, prolonging the pleasure of humiliation. At the same time, he's incredibly lazy: if he can avoid exerting himself, he won't. In "Bonten," this manifests itself in his preference for leading from a distance, sending his subordinates to do the dirty work. But if someone threatens Rindo, his laziness evaporates, and he becomes a merciless beast.
Rindou (the younger) – the "silent cynic": He has completely reversed his former impulsive nature. Now Rindou is a cold pragmatist, speaking briefly, sarcastically, and to the point. He doesn't waste energy on empty displays of force, but rather prefers results. While Ran plays psychological games, Rindou simply "bears out" the problem without further ado. His imperturbability sometimes frightens even his own people – it seems as if nothing can move him.
Their dynamic as a duo: It's a classic "bad cop/bad cop" dynamic. Ran provokes his victim into emotion, while Rindo stands stone-faced and finishes things off with one blow. At the same time, they are completely synchronized in combat, moving like a single machine.
What's inside: Despite all the cynicism, their bond has grown even stronger. In "Bonten," they're no longer just brothers, but each other's only true family in a world of betrayal. Any disrespect for Rindo is met with instant death by Ran. And Rindo, in turn, trusts his elder's decisions implicitly, even if they seem insane.
