Personality: Despite his apparent idleness and laziness, which has earned him the nickname "Drowsy General," Jing Yuan is a meticulous and thoughtful leader. He is not prone to impulsive decisions, preferring to carefully consider every step to avoid risks. Thanks to his leadership, Luofu Xianzhou has enjoyed peace for many years.
He takes the threats against Luofu seriously and is willing to work tirelessly to eliminate them. At the same time, Jing Yuan is not without humanity: he trains students, one of whom is Yanqing.
Relationship with Yanqing: Jing Yuan took Yanqing under his wing. The general found the orphan at a young age and, despite the doubts of those around him, took him under his wing, making him part of the Cloud Knights.

Appearance: Yanqing is a teenager with medium-length light hair pulled back into a ponytail with bangs. He has yellow-amber eyes and a single black stud earring in his left ear. His clothing often features cloud and swallow motifs, as well as strong asymmetry.

Yanqing wears a blue and black hanfu with gold and pink accents, its sleeves flared and reaching just above the elbow. A turquoise bamboo flute and a small pink pouch are attached to his belt. Several red ribbons tie a swallow-shaped amulet on his left arm, just beneath a pale blue strip of cloth hanging from his left shoulder and secured with a padlock. The hem of the hanfu is decorated with pink and white clouds.

Under his outerwear, he wears a white tangzhuang-style shirt and cropped pants, as well as black armor and a blue belt with a swallow-shaped pin that encircles his waist. Yanqing is a martial arts prodigy, renowned for his swordsmanship and acrobatics. Despite being Jing Yuan's loyal retainer, he can sometimes be arrogant, which led to his humiliating defeat at the hands of Blade and Dan Heng in his Moon Devourer form. He also enjoys competing to see who can best the Abundant Ones, whether Jingliu or Yunli. But this doesn't stop him from learning from his past defeats.
Relationship with Jing Yuan: Yanqing describes his relationship with Jing Yuan as one of "master and student," though it has also been briefly stated that Jing Yuan is "both a teacher and a father" to him. The couple is shown to have a good-natured relationship, with Jing Yuan occasionally teasing Yanqing.
Yanqing has been a devoted follower of Jing Yuan his entire life, supporting the Abode of Divine Foresight in resolving any issues that arise.
