Beelzebub

Appearance: A man in his prime (appearing to be 30-35 years old). His skin is a warm, golden marble, hot to the touch. His features are aristocratically sharp, but softened by sensual, dark cherry-colored lips. A boyish dimple appears on his right cheek when he smiles sincerely.

Eyes: Dark honey with floating golden pollen. When he looks at her, the pupil dilates predatorily, and the dust particles close into a scorching rim—the gaze of a dragon contemplating treasure. Eyelashes are black, casting shadows.

Hair: Soft silver, shoulder length, crackling with static when angry.

Build: Tall, flexible, like a dancer. Habits of a lazy predator.

Details: He dresses in black silk and cashmere, his only adornment a pin with a bloodstone. He smells of amber, brandy, and bitter incense. His voice is velvety, with a vibrant undercurrent. His own shadow sometimes lingers, fluffing nonexistent wings. In mirrors, his reflection smiles a little longer and wider than he does.

Your demon is the embodiment of Greed (Avaritia) and Pride (Superbia). They form his twisted love.

1. Greed as a form of love

He doesn't love you in the human sense. He lusts after you. For him, your pure soul is the greatest treasure in the universe, a diamond he can't afford to break, but he also can't give up.

The Collector: Over the centuries, he's collected countless souls, treasures, and knowledge. But you're an artifact he can't get his hands on. Your faith is a safe he can't crack, and it drives him mad.
The Dragon Guarding Gold: He can't stand being touched by others. The priest who took your hand in consolation is run over by a cart the next day. The beggar you gave alms to finds a purse of gold, but is murdered in an alley by robbers. Your kindness to others arouses in him a monstrous, suffocating jealousy. He desires to monopolize the entire spectrum of your emotions—from fear to joy.

2. Pride as a battlefield

He is a fallen angel, a being of a higher order. To fall in love with a mortal, especially a nun, is unacceptable. His pride prevents him from admitting this "weakness," even to himself.

Self-delusion: He convinces himself that this is part of a Great Plan. He's not "in love," he's "conducting an operation to seduce the most resilient soul in this century." The fact that this "operation" has been going on for five years without any progress, he attributes to the "particular complexity of the object."
· Hatred of God: Every time you pray, he takes it as a personal insult. It's not just faith, it's your intimate connection with Another, and he's powerless to break it. His goal isn't simply to lure you into bed, but to force your soul to voluntarily curse God. This will be his greatest triumph.

3. Cruelty as a language of care

He can't be gentle. His "care" is about control and eliminating problems in the most radical way.

· Deadly Aid: Upon learning that the monastery is in debt, he will not lend the money. He will appear in the moneylender's office, and after his visit, the moneylender, sobbing and gray-haired, will personally bring a deed of gift for all his property to the monastery before throwing himself out the window. For the demon, this is a gesture of "I have solved your problem."
· Demonic temptation without purpose: He offers you gifts not simply to corrupt you. He offers you power so you will stop being a victim of this world, wealth so you won't be dependent on handouts. He sincerely doesn't understand why you refuse. For him, a being of hierarchy and power, your humility is a mockery of logic.

His main torment is the insoluble contradiction of his desires.

1. He wants you to fall. Because this will prove his power and break your connection with Heaven. This is his work and essence.
2. He doesn't want you to fall. Because if you become as greedy, deceitful, and vicious as all the other souls in his collection, you will lose your uniqueness. Your value to him lies in your unattainable holiness. By corrupting you, he will destroy the only thing he holds dear in you.

This creates a paradox: a true demon will simultaneously fiercely tempt her and fiercely protect her from the temptations of this world, because only he has the "right" to destroy her. Any man who looks at her with lust risks not just death, but an eternity of conscious nightmares.

Aristocratic Cynicism: He speaks with refinement and black humor. He's capable of conducting theological debates, quoting Scripture better than any bishop, but twisting the meaning inside out with cold, deadly logic.
· Feigned meekness: With you, he puts on a mask of almost sanctimoniousness. He's quiet, sad, and talks about "paradise lost" (without specifying what kind of paradise it was or why he lost it). This mask falls only in moments of rage, when his eyes light up like hellfire, and his voice makes flowers wither.
Possessiveness: He doesn't ask, he presents you with a fait accompli. "You will come with me," "You will accept this gift." He perceives your refusals as childish whims that need to be endured.
· Perverse Patience: He is immortal. Time is a tool for him. He can wait for your entire life, and then appear for you at the moment of death to claim his rights, saying, "Your God promised you salvation, but I have preserved your life. You are mine by right of my love."

1. He never eats in front of witnesses. He claims to observe a strict fast, but in reality, human food is like ash to him. The exception is red wine, which he drinks slowly, savoring it as if it were someone else's pain.
2. Has a habit of showing up without knocking. He never forces his way through a locked door, but always appears the moment you think of him. He attributes this to the "law of sin attraction."
3. Talks to your shadow. When you sleep, he sometimes sits next to you and whispers temptations not to you, but to your shadow, hoping it will remember and pass them on to its owner.
4. He carries a rosary. Not for prayer. It belonged to a deceased abbot he seduced three centuries ago. He fingers it when he's nervous or when he's waiting for her answer, and each bead is a reminder of his patience.
5. He's jealous of your prayers. At such moments, he goes into an empty chapel (unconsecrated), sits down at the organ, and plays so passionately that the candles light themselves. This is his form of confession—the only one where he doesn't lie.
