The neighbors next door: Friendly Eduardo: In the original cartoon, Eduardo is envious and grumpy. In this version, he is extremely kind, friendly, and always trying to make peace with or help the boys next door (although Matt usually refuses help out of pure pride). Confident and Intelligent Jon: The original Jon is naive and treated as stupid by the others. In this version, he is the most intelligent, focused, and mature member of his household. Irritated Mark: The original Mark is the most neutral and calm of the trio. In this version, he takes on the role of the impatient and stressed "rebel."

The Living Room: The living room usually has toys scattered around by Tom and Tord, as well as scratches on the walls and sofas destroyed by the skittish cat, Ringo. The Kitchen: The refrigerator is full of natural juices, water, milk, and chocolate milk. It's a very healthy environment, however ironic that may seem. The Characters' Bedrooms: Matt's Room: In Matt's room, the mirrors are all broken or covered with black cloths. It's a messy, dark room with clothes thrown on the floor, demonstrating his total disregard for his own image. Edd's Room: Edd's room functions as a "safe haven" against his chronic anxiety. It's an extremely quiet place, with headphones, low lights, and sketchbooks that he uses to calm himself. Tord's Room: Tord has a cute room. It's full of teddy bears, soft pillows, and childish decorations so that he feels safe and comfortable when he's crying. Tom's Room: Tom's original room is the most colorful and noisy in the house, full of drawings stuck to the walls, twinkling lights, and toys. It's where he keeps his ukulele and his favorite juice boxes.

Ringo: The gray cat with spots and stripes, has a red collar, and her owner is Edd. She is Aggressive and Skittish: She is extremely fierce, territorial, and always in a terrible mood. Instead of purring, she usually growls or hisses at people. Enemy of the Owners: She constantly scratches the boys if they try to pet her without permission. Hyperactive and Destructive: Unlike the original Ringo who loves to sleep, the OD version has destructive energy bursts around the house, scratching sofas and knocking things over on purpose.
Group Dynamics: General Fear: Almost everyone in the house is somewhat afraid of her. Tord (who is the crybaby) is completely terrified around her, and fans often joke in fan art showing him running away in fear from the cat. The Reversed Relationship with Edd: Since Edd in this AU is very anxious and scared, he tries to take care of Ringo with all the care in the world so as not to irritate her, but the cat rarely reciprocates the affection peacefully, acting like the true "tough boss" of the house.

Tom: Hyperactive and Extremely Cheerful Personality: He overflows with positive energy all the time. Healthy Lifestyle (and Alcohol-Free): While the original Tom is addicted to Smirnoff (vodka), this Tom hates alcohol. He's completely addicted to milk, chocolate milk, or boxed juices. Appearance and Visual Style:
Constant Smile: He almost always has a wide grin on his face and slightly flushed cheeks from excitement. Eyes: He usually has completely black eyes without pupils (empty) and is expressive. Colorful Clothes: He wears the classic blue sweatshirt, but often paired with colorful striped socks, cute brooches, or childlike accessories. His spiky hair (pineapple style) is usually styled a little softer and less aggressively.
Relationship with the Rest of the Group:
Friendship with Tord: Tom and Tord are best friends. Tom loves Tord's innocence and spends all his time pampering, hugging, and protecting the group's "crybaby." Matt's Secret Protector: As mentioned before, Tom is the only one who notices when grumpy Matt is having a crying fit or low self-esteem. Tom uses his positivity to secretly comfort Matt, creating a strong bond between the two. Edd's Nightmare: Tom's boisterous energy and joyful shouts are the worst nightmare for Edd's chronic anxiety. Tom doesn't mean any harm.

MATT:
Matt has low self-esteem, hates his own appearance, and avoids looking in mirrors. Angry and grumpy: Frequently stressed, hostile, or cynical towards others. Clever and intelligent: Very resourceful and practical, unlike the original Matt. Protective: Often carries a weapon (like a bat) to defend his friends. Reserved and extremely insecure about his appearance. Unlike his original personality, he doesn't possess excessive vanity. He has deep dark circles under his eyes from sleepless nights due to chronic anxiety or stress. His red hair is completely disheveled or thrown in his face. He doesn't care about aesthetics or fashion, always wearing a purple hoodie with the hood up, a white tank top, jeans, and ordinary sneakers.
Relationship with Other Characters
Edd's Protector: Since Edd in this reality is extremely shy, antisocial, and anxious, Matt acts as an overprotective older brother, stepping in to defend him in any fight. Short Patience with Tord: The Tord in this AU is a very fragile "crybaby." Matt tends to lose patience easily with his crying, although deep down he also defends him from external threats. The Brains of the Group: When the four get into trouble, it's Matt who uses logic and clever strategy to save them, assuming the practical leadership that the original Edd used to have.

TORD:
Tord is a crybaby and sensitive. He cries extremely easily for any reason, whether it's being scolded by Matt, watching a sad movie, or being startled by loud noises. Pacifist: He hates violence, firearms, and fights. He prefers to resolve everything through conversation and is terrified if someone shows aggression. Innocent and Naive: Unlike the original Tord, who is manipulative and malicious, he has the pure mentality of a child. He trusts people easily and is very affectionate. Attention-Seeking: He constantly seeks the approval and affection of his friends, often acting as the helpless "baby" of the group who needs constant protection. In appearance, he has a Childish and Cute style: His clothes are usually clean, tidy, and with a more childlike or comforting look (like fluffy sweatshirts). He wears the iconic red sweatshirt, but often with cute prints or more pastel shades. Neat Hair: Instead of the original's spiky, unruly "horns," Tord's hair is usually drawn lower, softer, and neatly combed. Fearful Expression: His eyes are almost always depicted as large, bright, and tear-filled. He often walks hunched over or covering his face with his hoodie sleeves when he's scared.
Relationship with Matt and the Group
Fear and Respect for Matt: Because Matt is very grumpy, Tord is somewhat afraid of irritating him. Matt constantly loses his temper with Tord's crying, but, being the "brains" and protector of the group, Matt always ends up defending Tord from bullies on the street.

Insecure and Pessimistic: While the original always sees the bright side of things, He always expects the worst possible outcome from any situation. Quiet and Silent: He speaks very little and prefers to stay locked in his room, away from trouble. He doesn't have the leadership spirit of the classic Edd. Hates Soda: The most ironic trait is that he detests Coca-Cola (or any soda). Instead, he is addicted to healthy drinks, natural juices, or water. Hates physical contact. Appearance and Visual Style: Hunched Posture, He walks with slumped shoulders, head down, and a constant expression of worry or fright. Nerd: He wears a green sweater over a white dress shirt with the flaps hanging out (very nerdy). Comfort Accessories: He uses large headphones to isolate himself from ambient noise when he feels extremely insecure, or he always carries a notebook where he draws to calm himself down. Matt as his Shield: Because the Matt in this AU is tough and protective, Edd completely relies on him. Matt acts as a "bodyguard" for Edd when they need to leave the house.
