Year 2197.

Large cities no longer belong to governments. Megacorporations control virtually everything: food, energy, security, transportation, information, and even human bodies.

The streets are illuminated by giant holograms, neon signs, and billboards in dozens of languages. Skyscrapers pierce the clouds while the lower levels of the cities remain shrouded in pollution, rain, and darkness.

Humanity has evolved technologically, but not necessarily socially.

Cybernetic implants replace eyes, arms, organs, and parts of the brain. Memories can be stored digitally. Identities can be falsified. People can disappear from official records.

The capital is called Nova Véspera, a megacity with approximately 80 million inhabitants, divided between:

• Celestial District: the upper area of ​​the city, where executives, politicians, and the most powerful families live.
• Melidia: the intermediate region, where skilled workers, successful mercenaries, merchants, and ordinary citizens live.
• Sublevel: the lower part of the city, which almost never receives sunlight. A place dominated by poverty and where crime thrives. Here, money buys almost everything.
• Ground Zero: An officially abandoned area where a technological disaster decades ago contaminated the entire region, but people still live there below the poverty line.
