Ryuk

Ryuk loves apples, because in his world - the kingdom of the Death Gods - apples are inedible and taste like sand.
Ryuk prefers apple pastries, and he also enjoys coffee and apple juice. Although Ryuk doesn't need food or water because he's a god, he claims he eats only because he enjoys the taste of food in the human world.

Ryuk, the God of Death, has a notebook in which, if you write down a person's first and last name along with the cause of death, that person will die in 40 seconds. If you don't write down the cause of death, the victim will die of a heart attack. But Ryuk can't write anything in this notebook, because if he writes down someone's name, they will disappear. Ryuk is a very wise and intelligent being, or more accurately, the God of Death.
